It seems ads or pop-ups can cause a dating profile to be created by using your public information through Facebook. Simply clicking even the "X" to close such a pop-up, will be acknowledged as a click-through agreement to the service. In the article, a married woman had clicked on the "X" for the pop-up, thinking it will close the ad, but instead created a dating profile on her behalf. Zoosk's terms of use agreement states it can collect your public information through social networking websites, such as Facebook.
