Just my experience or are good looking white brunettes in the USA somewhat rare?

I notice that a lot of the good looking (fit with a pretty face) white women I see in the USA are blonde, natural and in majority of the cases not natural.

On the other hand, it seems like while the Megan Fox, Courteney Cox, and Lauren Cohan lookalikes do exist but they are much less common.

Like for example. I can go to an area like a beach town or college town and see it loaded with hot blondes but it seems like it is rare for me to find an area of the USA that is loaded with good looking white brunettes. Most of the good looking brunettes are either Hispanic or ethnic, never really white.

Maybe I am overthinking it or maybe it is my area but does anyone else find that good looking white brunettes are somewhat rare in the USA?

Gentlemen prefer blondes. The majority of women dye their hair blonde....so no they are not rare.

IME it's swayed to the side of brunettes actually. True blondes are somewhat uncommon.

Isn't brown hair dominant, like brown eyes? If I remember my genetics correctly.

I happened to snag a pretty hot brunette, but I haven't done a headcount in general.

Yes, brown hair is dominant. There are plenty of gorgeous brunettes in Texas who aren't all Hispanic, and plenty of those too. Of course most of them are not size zeros like some of the actresses you mentioned. I noticed when I was traveling to LA way back, that the actresses and wannabees are tiny creatures, usually very short and disappear if they turn sideways without their push-up bras on. We don't have much of that here unless they're 14.

I guess I don't know for sure but you sure see a lot of brown/brown around.

What's a white brunette? Is that something like white chocolate? Or just a very elderly brunette?

My dad was blonde/blue, while my mom is brown/brown. Only one of four came out blonde/blue, and even she is what I'd call dirty blonde.

I think that follows the general rule. Like you, most of the blondes I know aren't true, and their hair is usually fried.

Probably demographic.... in my area, at least for the five or so decades I've been around, caucasian brunettes are/have been quite common. We had a lot of German and Russian immigration early in the 20th century through WW2.

If you wander through the old Hollywood movies of the 30's-50's, you'll see, mostly, white brunettes, both in the female stars as well as more mainstream actresses. Very common. Of course, Hollywood is in California. Times changed, of course, as did society preferences and styles.

Personally, I had a green-eyed German brunette for a mother and I married a brown-eyed brunette, a mixture of German and English. Most of the women I dated were brunettes, by far. All were caucasian. Most had green or blue eyes. Fitness level varied. My mom was fit enough to do modeling when she was younger, mostly newspaper stuff, and that's how my dad met her. That wasn't uncommon since women either worked on the farm or walked a lot more than they do now, save for dedicated fitness pursuits. Lifestyle was different back then. More women smoked, which tended to speed up metabolism and curb appetite. Not healthy, sure, but it did promote a more slender appearance.

OP, if you want to swim in a sea of white brunettes, head over to the FSU/CIS when the spring thaw hits and the short skirts come out. It's spectacular. Warning: you might not come back. Heh.

I was going to say this.

I'm a natural brunette but for whatever reason, I was never happy with it and instead spent years being every other color imaginable. Blonde being my goto choice more often than not. It helped that my mother was a hairdresser.

Now that I'm older I LOVE being a brunette and wouldn't change it for the world.

Brunettes are everywhere!

I'd derail this thread if I was going to say we don't see redhead much anymore.

Brunettes might be my 'women of choice' but I was content with some blonde ladies too. Real blondes and they tend to become rare indeed.

That is part of what I was getting at guys, brunettes are genetically more common than blondes but America probably leads the world when it comes to having bottle blondes. Sororities in college as well as cheerleading squads are loaded with them for instance and that kind of look flies well in the USA.

So I guess what I was getting at with this thread is where in the country you have a lot of good looking brunettes who tend to stay brunette. In California you have a HUGE bottle blonde culture but I wonder where in the USA that is not so much the case.

Ya but bottle blondes seem to almost be the norm in most wealthier areas of the USA as well as college towns.

Eh, not really. It's not like I've been everywhere but fwiw I see a pretty steady majority of (unblonded) brunettes. And believe me I'm looking and I notice. ;)

I am surprised you say this is the case for the midwest, must be so for the lower midwest since upper midwest = lots of Scandinavians. My experience is limited to the coastal areas in the south and the west coast where blondes are quite the norm, especially as you go more upscale.

I don't understand all the strange derision for blonde women, natural or not (and I'm not blonde btw). Plenty of people color their hair at some point in their lives.

You also seem to be looking for brunettes who resemble particular celebrities - people who typically have invested significant amounts into improving their overall appearance (hair, body, teeth, nose, etc.), and as such wouldn't be considered terribly 'natural' either. Your best bet in finding women with similar styles is likely where more models and actresses tend to reside, L.A. and New York.

The percentage is much higher in Europe.

Italy is loaded with them.

My very dear Italian friend from Milan (who is the wrong body type for me and dies her hair blonde) has taken the time to look at my preference in women and direct me to where they exist in Europe.

Apparently, Sardinia is the promise land of short, in shape, 100lbs brunettes with practically black hair/eyes.

I was a natural blonde till my hair went dirty blond. Darker hair makes me look washed out, so I dye it to my original color.

Almost no natural blondes keep extremely light hair through adulthood unless they are in the sun all the time.

No. It's most frequently co-dominant. Same with skin tone. Eye color is dominant/recessive.

There's always a ton of smoking hot blondes, but that lone dark haired brunette with the light eyes blows them all away every time. Just my personal opinion lol
