tommyr
Ladies, what would you think if you got a "personal massager" for Xmas from husband? We have really used any "toys" like this before, just a few times with whipped cream, Hersheys syrup. Its the plugin kind like you see in Sharper Image catalogs (not the kind from back of dirty magazines). We've been married for 10 years and lately sex has slowed way down for us. after having 2 kids. Will she like it, or should I just go buy her a turtleneck sweater?
Mythical
I say go for it!! I know I would like it With that there's excitement with the turtle neck?? Way too little excitement lol their opposites to the extreme inless you were being sarcastic
norajane
Toys are fun. But get her the sweater, too. Or jewelry. The massager should be a stocking stuffer, not her primary present.

My Fair Katie
Get it! Although I did want to mention something about the sharper image vibrator v. back of magazine vibes. Honestly, I prefer the vibrators that aren't as "discreet" as what you'd find at sharper image. Especially for a first timer. A vibrator you would get from a sex shop will have a multiple levels of vibrations unlike the acuvibe which has 1 to 2 (unless they've changed it). Try a vibrator that isn't sold as a "personal massager" and one that is okay for both insertion and clitoral stimulation. Waterproof is a plus.

My fave vibe lately for partner play is the Layaspot. It's small and fits between us during sex, has lots of speeds, and does actually fit inside for g-spot stim, though it's not a g-spot specific type of vibe. And it's waterproof for shower play! Mr. Lucky
And put it in her stocking.. so to speak.. not under the tree You beat me on that one! I was imagining the kid's faces as Mom unwrapped that one Also, forget anything that plugs in. Too much hassle when things get interesting. Mr. Lucky
Author tommyr
Sorry to report that I totally wimped out on the personal massager gift! Instead, I gave her (among other typical things) a coupon book titled IOU SEX which has 50 or so pullout coupons of various acts to be rendered. Amazed they sell this at local Barnes and Nobel. A year ago we were in a true sexless marriage. Past 4 months things have been improving, but I still thought she might perceive a personal massager gift in the wrong way. Will just see how it goes and coupon usage is high, then maybe the vibrator gift can be for Valentines day.
Cinnesyn
Why don't you bring up the subject with her sometime and see how she feels about it? If she seems OK with the idea, maybe for Valentine's Day, find a sitter, take her out to dinner, and then take her to a *NICE* couples place and have her pick one out. I think I'd also buy her something else (from somewhere else). Good luck and have fun!

Guest
First time here just my 2 cents I buy my wife vibrators and other toys and she does like them. We have been married for 12 yrs. About 4 yrs ago we had a real rough period and I thought that it was almost over. We worked on it and are happy now. The toys started after that time and she now likes them and enjoys them alone and with me, IT has helped our sex life and opened her up to new fun together. One piece of advice to the guys suprise her out of the blue and help her enjoy it, let her tell you what she likes and you will like what comes in return.
