I would like to know how I should handle the situation as not to get royally hosed. Signs that this is happening. Someone found a memo talking about the restructuring of our department and moving it to another city. It was denied by higher ups and the memo disappeared as well as any meetings related to that on the calendar. Huge knowledge transfer going on. They sent a team to learn everything we know in the guise of "helping" us with our backlog of work. The ads on the company site for hiring in our department were removed. Both bosses of of department were let go. Rumour has it that my new boss isn't pleased with my work. I have been there a long time and have always done an excellent job. I think they are trying to force the remaining people out or find just cause to fire us rather than lay us off. I have some very specialized knowledge that I am being hounded to provide and I have been avoiding sharing it to them. It is easy to do since I am so busy. Should I just give them the knowledge knowing I am going to getting screwed or should I negotiate for something? What should I do if anything?
