RedAndBlue
Hey all, I've been reading here for the past few months when I noticed my wife of 8 years getting distant. I'll save the back story for another thread (it would be too hard to type right now). That said, we've both agreed some marriage (and perhaps personal) counseling is in order. There's about 500 of them in the phone book and can you really trust someone you find on Google? How do y'all find counselors? Can anyone recommend one in Seattle? Thanks a ton, RaB
ShoeGirl
You said you don't know who you can trust off of google but your best bet would probably be googling relationship counselors in your area and look at their websites. Many counselors have an about me (or us) section where you can read about their techniques and strategies. Many also offer free consultations so if you go to one and don't like it you haven't lost anything. If you really don't want to rely on google talk to friends in the area and see if they have and suggestions. I just found this by looking up relationship counseling in Seattle on google http://www.scn.org/crisis/counseling.html maybe it will help. Best of luck to you!
Sun_Conure
I would recomment to check with your insurance. Counseling is extremely expensive! If your insurance has a list of approved counselors, you can consider googling them to see if they have their webpages. Also you can call and talk with some of them on the phone. It is completely normal to have several conversations/sessions with a counselor before deciding to stay with them or change them.
