One more time...Self pitting myself....

Recommended Posts

I find it so easy to pitty myself, but I do nothing to solve the problem. I been going the the gym and taking my anger out there because I just feel so lost in helping myself, or knowing how to help myself. Money isn't there for me to go get help,so I am in a loss for words.

I need help, and my life seems to be heading in a downward spiral.

You're getting SOMETHING from the pity, or you wouldn't keep doing it.

Change is a conscious choice.. for that matter, self pity is a conscious choice.

What do you want to be different?

You don't have to talk to me... obviously. But you could choose to.

You need to provide more info in your posts if you expect to get any real help. If you've read enough boards here, you'll know that it's full of absolute strangers who don't give a rat's behind if they hurt your feelings, they'll give you the upfront and honest truth (well, for the most part).

We all get down on ourselves and our situation in life, it's normal. Pitty gets you nowhere, and is only going to turn people away from you.

Here's a few questions you can answer which may provide some insight:

What do you want from your life?

What are you lacking that's making you so down? (You made another post about how you were trying to find your place in life, but you never responded, did you think about anything that was written there?)

What is holding you back from achieving these things?

Are you setting realistic goals for yourself?

Are you proud of anything you've done in your life?

What are your best qualities?

There, that should be a good homework assignment for you. If you're serious about making a change in your life, put out the information, so maybe people will be able to help guide you. No one is going to pitty you, simply because you're feeling generally down and out. Do something about it!
