Guest
Is it possible for a girl to be so nervous/shy/intimidated by a guy that she'll come off disinterested? Im trying to date this shy girl and when i do wind up talking to her, ill either get no/yes or short 3-5 word answers. She always returns my calls even if it's a day late and sometimes cant look me in the eyes. It's near impossible to get a convo going as she's more shy over the phone than in person...that she literally winds up hanging up the phone/not wanting to talk.

Well my take is that she wouldn't answer the phone at all if she wasn't interested. If you know she is shy, and she is, it will take a little time for her to get comfortable. Make sure you are genuinely interested in this girl, because it will devastate her if you are in it for any other reason besides being with her. If you are, be patient, keep on doing what you are doing and let the magic work, brother! Good luck to you guys!
charie_anne
i am one of those really shy people, why don't you just keep talking to her even though she does not talk much she may listen well to you. get her comfortable and maybe she will open up.
Zona76
Take her out to places where talk is not needed. See a show, movie or maybe have a picnic in a park and watch the kids. Museums are interesting. A comedy. *to make her smile* Invent surprises of new places. Eventualy she will come more at ease with you.
Poboy
yes there are people like that , i know one for sure you cant do anything but accept who they are and hope they will open up in the future ... it was a longshot and i gave it a go but she was just a big aloof and i wasted a lot of time and effort. go for it if you think its worth it. MWC_LifeBeginsAt40
If you want to get her talking, find out what her interests are and then ask her lots of questions. Make sure she is doing at least 50% of the talking instead of jumping in and talking about yourself. Like if she asks you a question, give a short answer and then say "what about you" or something like that.
