MotherGooze
I have a cd alarm clock. I put in a really happy tune. When i wake up I always wake up jappy. I don't want to turn off the music because I like it and I wake up very fast
westernxer
It's hard to be a morning person without a valid reason, meaning you are forced into it. Meaning you have a job that requires it, like I do. I wake up really early, but I don't want to make anyone feel bad, so I'll spare the details.
This_Too_Shall_Pass
It's hard to be a morning person without a valid reason, meaning you are forced into it. Meaning you have a job that requires it, like I do. I wake up really early, but I don't want to make anyone feel bad, so I'll spare the details. That's true, but you see, I find the idea of someone forcing me to do something to be very outrageous. It's a different story that I have to toe the line and do as others bid me to do and (try to) show up when I'm supposed to. You get up really early, eh? Poooor, pooor you... *TTSP secretly turns green with envy at Westernxer's ability to wake up at dawn*
westernxer
*TTSP secretly turns green with envy at Westernxer's ability to wake up at dawn* I sleep in weekends, but usually not past seven, even though I try. On a side note... you can turn an ostensible green today by visiting your local Irish pub.
This_Too_Shall_Pass
I sleep in weekends, but usually not past seven, even though I try. Whoa, now...that is just not normal....no sireeee... *TTSP smashes a few plates in anger and despair* On a side note... you can turn an ostensible green today by visiting your local Irish pub. I know...I wonder what the hoo-ha is about St. Patrick's. It's been cold here and today we got snow flurries. So much for spring. They did have a parade in the city, I think - and when I visited the mall today they had this show with a group of children doing the Irish tap dance. It went on for a couple of hours - the children did a good job.
Porn_Guy
Whoa, now...that is just not normal....no sireeee... I think WEST meant 7pm *TTSP smashes a few plates in anger and despair*. I think your cute TTSP....especially when you get angry
This_Too_Shall_Pass
I think WEST meant 7pm Perhaps it will make me feel better to imagine he made a typo. I think your cute TTSP....especially when you get angry Gee thanks, P_G. People say the same thing when I'm happy. It's only when I'm really serious that I look really, really fugly. westernxer
I think WEST meant 7pm This morning I woke up at 6:30 AM... tried to sleep a little longer but couldn't, so I rolled out of bed, washed up, and did some reading. Now I'm gonna work out and watch Arsenal on Fox Soccer Channel. I should try staying up later, but I'll wake up early regardless. Back in the day, when I'd come home at four in the morning on weekends, I'd still wake up four hours later, ready to proceed with my new day. Even if I drink, which is rare, I still wake up early. Weekends disrupt my sleeping patterns, but at least I don't have kids to worry about on top of that. Was worse when I had two jobs and little sleep. So glad those days are over. I guess I'm just a weirdo. LOL
This_Too_Shall_Pass
Once upon a time, I used to have good sleeping and waking habits. That was a long time ago, back when I was in college. I used to fall asleep by 11:00 p.m., and get up around 6 a.m. The latest I would wake up, on weekends, was 9:30 a.m. Now I can't imagine waking up at 5 in the morning and wonder what to do with the long day ahead. Still, I'd like to be able to develop a habit of waking up earlier.
westernxer
Last Tuesday I arrived in the office at 6:30 in the morning... my boss and a couple of the tech guys were up till five working on some problem. They'd gone the whole night without sleep, and I got to hear all about it. Reminds me of The Machinist with Christian Bale. Highly recommended to those who want to see what happens when you never sleep. Ever.

This_Too_Shall_Pass
Reminds me of The Machinist with Christian Bale. Highly recommended to those who want to see what happens when you never sleep. Ever. Christian Bale always appears in a weirdo kinda role. "American psycho" was one. And then recently he appeared in that magician movie "The prestige". So when he showed up as "Batman", I still saw him as a psycho. I think it's his canine teeth - they're pointed, like fangs.
sunshinegirl
Nothing like having kids to make you a morning person. My two sisters and I used to be peas in a pod, in that none of us was a natural morning person. We took after our dad, the night owl, definitely not our mom, the quintessential morning person who would wake us up for school singing "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood, won't you be mine..." Oh wait, that's Mr. Rogers. Anyway. The sisters married and started reproducing... and today they are usually each up by 7am (if not earlier) to face the day w/ kids who seem to wake with the sun. The differences in our sleeping patterns are never so apparent as when we are all on family vacation together. They call me lazy and make fun of me, trying to make me feel bad for sleeping til 9am (who gives a crap? it's vacation, people!) -- but really, I think they're just jealous that they don't get to sleep in anymore. knaveman
This is stupid, but I found that exercise and little or no junk food have made me sleep better and thus able to get up earlier. Definately no sugar or caffine after like 5:00pm. That's just me.
Miss_Bee
Have you tried putting the alarm clock across the room so you have to get up and cannot just hit snooze? ahaha I've tried that, but some how, i managed to end up back in bed snoozing again. Without the slightest recollection of getting up and turning the damn thing off. My bf calls me a professional sleeper
