DD97230 Posted March 13, 2007 Share Posted March 13, 2007 My girlfriend and I have been dating for the most wonderful 2 and a half years, we had up till now been really positive about the prospects of our relationship. Planning on attending the same university newt year. She now however feels that she is obligated to attend a university just because I'm going there and she wants to go for herself, which is understandable, even though it is a rough idea to comprehend for me. I would like some ideas of how to have this work even if we were to go to separate colleges. Lately she has been talking of separating because she is terrified of being separated from me for months at a time, but at the same time she wants to remain with me because she loves me, she just doesn't feel that it could work without more trust. I admit that I would be scared of her cheating on me, as I am sure that she feels the same about me. Another aspect of this is that I learned that she suffered from mild/moderate depression in September. It seems to only really effect her around once a month. This normally doesn't cause many problems because I am always by her side trying to help her through everything, but lately she has been distancing herself from me. She trys to hide when she is depressed, even though I can clearly tell when it occurs. Any ideas? -Dennis Link to post Share on other sites
