Island Girl
But for the time being, a nice quiet span of doing nothing sounds good to me. It is your best recourse really.
Author Faith2
The shells were a nice touch that will let him know you still think of him I think. I hope the little shells have a good effect. Something tangible and beautiful that he can hold in his hand and remember our walks along those beaches... Santa Monica, Big Sur, Carmel... My envelope will arrive on or before April 5. That's our anniversary of first meeting 3 years ago, and I'm sure he'll remember it when my envelope arrives. Last year we spent April 5 in Yosemite, so he'll remember that, too. It's also possible that his parents might intercept the mail carrier. (He's living at home with them until he finds a job.) I don't think they'll hide it from him, but I bet they'll give him a bad time about it. They view me as some kind of seductress who bewitched their boy and lured him away to America. Now they've got him safe under their roof and under their thumb again, 5000 miles away from me. I'm sure they don't know he's been in touch with me nor spending all those hours working on my project. Well... we'll see what happens, if anything.
