dropdeadlegs
The music came out in 1970, yet the Broadway Play didn't come to be until 1973. I grew up with the soundtrack on album, even considering that my father is an atheist. I can sing this "Rock Opera" from beginning to end, as can my younger sister (only sibling.) I am especially impressed by the parts involving Judas, Jesus, Pilate, and Herod. Those songs, melodies, are awesome. I feel like I'm in a league of my own on knowledge of this subject, yet know that LS has abundant knowledge. I'm sure that there are others that have heard this. Guess I'm looking for some validation of some kind as I'm not sure why I am posting on this subject. I just listened for the first time in years, and it's almost over. It's beautiful, regardless of personal beliefs. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Timn Rice had it going on.

You got it going on, girlfriend. Better?? I guess I'm more of a Lion King fan. That probably figures, me being a spiritual void.

And the story is so well known, most people know it regardless of their beliefs. I have seen it several times, and it was great. I also like the Life of Brian. Not a musical, but very funny. Theres a place for us, somewhere a place for us..... that one gets too high for me at the end. Pretty and Witty and Gay! (Clearly pre-1960s lyrics) Although gay doesn't rhyme with tonight so it must have been "bright" in this verse. I'm fairly sure she says "gay" in another one.
sb129
Bright-- thats it. Cos it rhymes with night. Thanks that was going to bug me all night.

Yeah, I just googled the lyrics and it is "bright". She doesn't even say she feels "gay" at all in the song. How disappointing.

Storyrider
My little pony, I love my little pony. Oh the fond memories My daughters have dozens of them. They have magnetic feet, and they rappel up the sides of the bathtub. Sometimes I enter the bathroom and they are surrounding the toilet, planning an invasion for when I'm at my most vulnerable. However, the last time I owned a MLP was in 1986.
