Daily Activities...can you meet THE ONE?

Recommended Posts

I'm a single woman, ready to conquer the dating world.

Problem is: I work so much I don't really have time to go out and most of my friends are already in relationships.

Question is: Do guys ever ask girls for their phone numbers at places other than bars and parties??? For example: grocery store, restaurant, etc.

And if guys DO offer their numbers at these places...what are the chances that they do this on a frequent basis???

Don't leave it to chance!

Have you considered online dating?

I met the man of my dreams online. I know other people haven't been as lucky as me, but what have you got to lose right now?

The great thing about it is you can be picky, and only contact people who meet your defined criteria....

you also don't have to meet people face to face until you are ready, and know a little bit about them.

You can also turn people down without meeting them if you don't think they are right for you.

Give it a try... it worked for me!

I think maybe you need to broaden your horizons then....

surely if the town is that small, you know whether there are any eligible bachelors???!

Yeah I guess I would if the girl is really my type. It's harder to pick someone up at the grocery store or restaurant, though.

You did say you're in a small town. The odds are sorta stacked against you, so you'd need to be proactive. See the guy you like? Well, hit on him and start the conversation going. There's certainly no shame in that.

I've seen friends of mine hook up thru online dating. The person doesn't have to be in the small town, but it would certainly be helpful if he's in the same state.

Man....what a challenge. I've never really been the type of girl to go up to the man. But I guess times are different? I guess I'm just scared of rejection.

Question for the guys: if a girl came up to you, asked you out, or made small chit chat...would you ignore her or even diss her?

I don't know what type of restaurants there are in your town, but generally if you're eating by yourself at the bar, you can find someone to talk to. Remember, single guys don't like to cook...

Restaurants are a great way to put on a lot weight because the portions are usually too big.

I am also one of those few guys that likes to have a positive cash flow.

I wouldn't ignore or diss her. Flirting would be a nice approach.

If you are approaching a real scumbag, his reaction may vary.

well, I have to say, I have been 'hit' on in line at the local grocery store a few times, and I would have to say,I would be more interested in these guys than ones met at a 'bar scene'. the guys at the store were not outright forward, but they were nice, and flirty! maybe, when I am ready to date again, I'd go that route.

Thanks for the advice guys. The reason I asked is cause the bar scene is not really a place where I wanna look for a long term mate.

I went out the other night and I think I was the only woman not wearing a low cut V neck tee!

Ah yes... the legendary american-sized portions. I've heard about those...

Generally, people don't go out to eat unless they can afford it. So in effect, the type of restaurant will tell you something about the guy's income level.
