God made us to be like HIM, joyful, loving each other, trust each other, healthy, wealth, immortal, nothing lack nothing missing. But after Eve ate forbidden fruit, human being became spiritually dead, disconnected with God. then we are under control of Satan. God are Spirit. When God sent Jesus came to the world, God was in Jesus, God show us the way the example through Jesus. no fault in Jesus, what he did was helping people, healing them, the people who was despised and have terrible disease were healed by Jesus. Yet, people crucified him. But good news is Jesus rise up to heaven. Even in this day, he is out there to help people, and heal them, but the key is when he heal you, you must receive it, not reject. When people decide to accept Jesus,Light not darkness, then God will send Holy Spirit to them, so they can be born-again. spiritually reconnected with God. then Holy Spirit will lead them to realize what they sinned, then heartly felt repentance follow. this is a beginning. then little by little Holy Spirit will teach them about God and Jesus, so they can be more like God's image: loving, forgiving, patience, honest, gentle...these are fruits of Salvation. Totally changing inside will happen. the things we liked no longer we like them. the bad habbits will be changed under the power of Holy Spirit, and disease will be healed, and no matter what situation outside, you will always find peace and content inside of you. and nothing can compare to God's love not sex immoral, not money, not fame, nothing can bring deep satisfaction that only God can give. in fact, sex immoral, love of money, love of hurting other people, only bring self-destruction to self. God is forgiving, HE will find all HIS lost sheeps. Last midnight I woke up, and then I believed Lord Show me something in my spirit. I've heard a pastor talked about spiritual eyes, and nature eyes (or flesh eyes). After Eve ate the forbidden fruit by following Satan's advice, the spiritual eyes were shut down, the nature eyes were opened. Spiritual eyes: look on God, connect with God. Spiritual eyes can see only lightness, love, trust, and they didn't worry a bit before the nature eyes open Natural eyes: the eyes we now have. We look the world in natural way. Natural eyes see fear, disappointed, distrust, own desires, no hope, disconnect with God. When undesirable thing happen, people only see thing in natural way, lost hope very quickly So in the Bible Jesus said "blind (only natural eyes, spiritual eyes shut down) lead blind will fall into pit". For example: sexual desire. if people let the sexual desire lead them, where they will go? Except of bunch of sex adventure, and ecstasy on the spot, what left? But sexual desire is a Gift from God, HE want us to enjoy it. But we should let the spiritual eyes lead us to fulfill it. That's why when people love each other so much, the sex is not only sex. It will be so fulfilled. Another example: appetite. If people let the appetite lead them, probably they will get bigger and bigger, not good for health. So let the spiritual lead us, not only our basic needs will be fulfilled, but in a wonderful way. I think the more we concentrate on ourselves, the lonelier we feel. because "concentrate on self" is self serving, seeking self benefit or improving self while we don't exactly know how to improve ourselves as a mature person, only God knows. When we connect with God spiritual, God will change us little by little. By no mean I mean deny self or remove any fun out from life, but when we connect with the God spiritually or universe, we can have a better vision for life, those fun and joy naturally would add to you in a profound way. We cannot change our circumstances around us, but we can change our perspectives to circumstances. If we look ourselves as child of God (which is true), or spark of divine, then we would feel we are part of bigger purpose, bigger something, part of universe, not isolate someone who seek mainly self benefit. If people switch 'toward self' to 'from self', people would be more happy and peaceful. And interaction with others and relationships would improve too. But we cannot give something we don't have ourselves, we must take love from God, and give others. People, a man, or a woman never can be that unchanging source of love, only God can. So, NOW if a person read Bible, and claim he is a believer, but he didn't embrace the spiritual teaching, and he continue his evil ways, ACCORDING TO YOUR LOGIC, it is the Bible wrong!?!?!? In a relationship: People tend to see the other as the loving source of life. That’s why people tends to be codependant to each other. And when bad time comes, it is so hard for them to cope with, because the loving source gone, the moment they break up, the moment they feel empty. But if they connect with God spiritually, they still have that loving source. The breakup is painful, but can honestly wish the other person have a good life, and wait for next good person enter their life. Addictions: Addictions are obviously straws. People may seek porn, drugs, or any other addictive things as a happy source to escape from the reality. But end of the tunnel is destruction. I belive in good and bad.. and mostly the advice that you give is bad. Depression is a serious illness not to be taken lightly There is also the addiction factor as well, You are addicted to the fact that when someone disagrees with your point of view they are in line with the Devil. There are two kinds of self-sufficient 1). self-sufficient from the world. God is the source. We don't have to have joy and peace depend on the outside world. We can have joy and peace in our heart because God is living in us. He provides these things peace, joy for us. The more we depend on God, the less we depend on the outside world, circumstances. people can leave us, bad thing can happen, but joy inside us can not leave us 2). self-sufficient from God. God is out of the picture. Then we begin to seek happiness from outside world. We are happy when find a good partner, but sad and lost when they leave us. We seek other people's approvement, appraisement. Sometimes we know we shouldn't do certain things but in order to please people, we still did it anyway. This is a slow process to lose self, especially young people. People try to earn more money to gain self-esteem, but some in the end gain a big ego, which ends up isolate self from other people. You are sucking the energy out from the people around you. you said you believe in God, but why don't you receive the energy and love God rather that other people who cannot give you the unconditional love? This container should be filled with full of unconditional love and continually filled when we give our love to others. Many of us didn't have a good childhood, and didn't get the enough unconditional love from our parents because our parents didn't have it enough in the first place, it is like a bad influence from generation to generations. suppose there are 10 levels of love in the container. The low level love in the container will cause many problems when we grew up. Like we don't cherish ourselves when we should do. because we only see ourselves worth 4 or 5 level of love. Selfish people in fact are people who don't have a full container of love, so they demand love from others, sometimes even sacrifice others personal welfare, so these people became vampires. suck up energy and love from other persons and left them empty. we have so many vampires around us in our society. There is a type of person called borderline personality disorder. I read a little about them. some of them try to help people, or in a more real sense, try to make everybody happy, from outside they seem very nice people, but inside they hate people, they really hate people, thinking every other person is trying to rob something from them. the truth is their container is empty, but they are trying to give or please everybody around them, thinking this is the right way to survive. So to fill the container with full of unconditional love seems very important now. I really think God is the only one can do this. so when I read the Bible more and more, I feel more and more love from God. when our container full of unconditional love, we would feel easy to give, when we do so, can feel genuin happiness from inside. when people told us we are not worth God's love because of our past experiences, well, that is NOT true. God loves us so much, and wait us to return him at any moment. He want to nurture and love us no matter what we did and experienced, He just love to see a lost sheep return. I'm happier than I've ever been, and I don't give a damn who disagrees with my faith, as long as I know what it is and where I'm going... I am washed in the blood, and in the water a born-again, spirit filled follower of Christ, I just choose not to affilitate myself with Pharisees and hypocrites. I do not presume to judge others because I understood what Jesus meant when he said "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." Hypocrisy is… 1. Inconsistency between what one teaches and what one does (23:3-4) 2. Desire for prestige and power and congratulation (23:5-12) 3. Abuse of teaching authority through both false teachings and false practices (23:13, 15, 16-22, 23-24, 25-26, 27-28). 4. Overconcern with minutiae and lack of focus on the major issues (23:23-24, 25-26, 27-28): that is, moral myopia. 5. Inconsistency between appearance and practice (23:27-28). I hold no one to my standards but myself, and that is enough work for any one person... Similar things happen around us. why some people can still have peace and content in heart, while other people cannot? The only different thing is they have different perspectives for life. The former always appreciate, the later always complain. The stronger relationship with God is, the better we interact with people, the better relationship we get. why? 1) Faith in God and depend on God. This means less depend on other people. We get love source from God, not from people. but we can exchange love with people and give love to people. People are not our source. When people treat us good, it is a reward. when people treat us bad, they made mistakes, they are not perfect, but our source of love will not be cut off. so we can easily forgive those who hurt us. 2) Depend on people. less or don't depend on God. if so, every other people around us become our source of love. every other people become "owe" us something. we do things to please other people, hoping they give us in return, if not, they are bad and hurt us. because they cut us off the source of love which sustain human being. the whole world became enemy. Resentment is easily born. maybe other people did 5 good things for us, but also did 1 or 2 bad things to us, then we easily remember the bad things, but don't remember good things. but if change perspectives, we would be very happy and appreciate the 5 good things, then forget the bad things other people did to us. THIS IS A BONDAGE. People say they believe in God, but how can they believe in God while are still living in tons of bondage? or they didn't understand God's love and the Gift He gave? Jesus set you free, free indeed. How to understand and accept God's love? I think read Bible and comprehend Bible is a good start. and appreciation also is one Link to post Share on other sites
