Sufferings is result of our sins?

Recommended Posts

She could always repent later………….not possible.

Not always………if you listen to M.K.B. tapes it tells prophetically of many that assumed they could repent later and later and later was not on their side as they are in Hell for eternity.

Later is not on our side my dear. The wake up call is now.

I think that you may want to listen to your own words on this LH, but then again there is free will and you are choosing it in reguards to insults and judmental behavior

I am not trying to hurt you at all, but to call someones family member a failure because his son who chose not to follow the same path as his father is very judgemental.

Re read your reply to Moai I was just wondering if you could be the one the one taking cheap shots, just to prove your point.

Get thee behind me Satan.

Forgiveness…only comes through Jesus for those that repent…my forgiveness is nothing to your eternal soul

Rude. What a great Christian example. You do something that is hurtful to another but don't apologize because you don't care if that person forgives you or not, only Jesus' forgiveness matters.

Super philosophy you've got there.

When we judge others, we put ourselves in God's place, taking the authority reserved only for him. We forget that other people are fighting their own inner battles and sometimes that conflict shows itself in irritating actions. But if our own behavior is imperfect, why do we expect better from others?

Apologize for what?

The word of God has been inscribed in Moais heart. Still she kicks it and her father that taught it.

I refuse to apologize to Satan.

Do you realize Moai was brought up in the Church and behaves this way…and acts ignorant of the word……..

We have much more on our hands my dear. This is much more.

This is much more........her father could not handle it ..........haaaaaa

and now she is here............

It seems that you have so much pride, not in God but within yourself as you can not admit when you could have been judgemental in your thinking and your communication toward Moai.

Everyone follows a different path and just because it is not your way does not mean that it is incorect.

Instead you dismiss her as being Satan which really concerns me, she is a person who deserves some kindness and respect.

And may I add if God teaches people to treat others the way that you have shown me here and now...

I choose not to believe what you believe and in addition I choose not to treat people the way you have here.

You never answered my question on diversity... What are your feelings on the subject?

So will you please respect a falling away from the word of God here?

I also post on another set of message boards that are more specific to atheism, and we often get Christians in there who burst in, make inane comments, and then flee. There are a few who stick around and are thoughtful, but not many.

The spelling and syntax errors, the punctuation or lack thereof speaks volumes about their education level.

There was one in particular who came in, and he was articulate and his posts were well-reasoned--well, as well-reasoned as they could be based as they were on a false premise. I engaged him in debate several times, and after a few posts his would degenerate into a response of a few words that didn't address what I wrote. This happened to others as well.

A couple of days ago, a fellow member posted links to websites that the Christian member was plagiarizing from. He would cut and paste entire passages from apologetic websites, ID websites and the like, changing certain pronouns (like "we" to "I) and pass the thoughts on as his own. And he got caught.

The reason that his posts fell back on short responses is that he did not understand what he himself posted, nor could he extrapolate from what he had written.

When he was called on it, his response was that he was just posting things he agreed with and didn't want to take the time to write it out himself. That didn't fly, as that is no excuse for plagiarizing, so his next move was to call all the atheists on the board irrational, evil, illogical, and all the rest. When that was recognized as the pathetic reaction it was, he then said that it didn't matter what we thought, only what Jesus thinks matters (hence this thread reminding me of it.) He has since fled.

It is wrong to take the bad behavior of one believer and extrapolate it to mean that all believers are somehow that way, but there are so many instances of just this kind of behavior, one wonders if that is not the case.

I have not once had to lie to support my position, which is that there are no gods. Why is it that lying is so common amongst those who represent god? In the above instance, not only did he not recognize that plagiarism is even wrong, he then resorted to name calling.

If he had turned his posts in as a paper at any university or community college, he would have been expelled.

Further, I know that I can be a little sarcastic at times, but I do try my best to phrase things in such a way so as not to upset someone who holds and opposite position. Difficult sometimes when you don't respect the belief but respect the believer, as all humans deserve respect until proven otherwise.

Love Hurts posted something that was obviously un-Christian. Even as a nonbeliever I spotted that, I didn't need the Holy Spirit to tell me that, or read scripture to figure it out. Neither does anyone else.

Anyway, I do not ask for or require an apology. It is par for the course, really. I do not judge people to be a success or failure based on what they think, or what lifestyle their child may have chosen. It is not surprising that some believers do, as their system of moral justice is flawed from the outset. I would hope that people reading this thread will take note, however, and realize that such is an antecedent of the belief system, and the hypocrisy inherent therein.

If you are responsible and kind, treat others as you would be treated, and value all human life as valuable and worth protecting, in my opinion you are a success, regardless of what material goods you may have, what you look like, where you live, or what you do for a living.

How is telling someone that thier father is a failure not being judgemental on your part, and how is calling a person who is following a different path satan?

Ahhh no………

Admission? Huh? And while you might not respect his or my decision, he is still worthy of respect. He made a decision different from yours.

I notice not one hint of sorrow for the fact that he is going to hell now. Also, not one hint of an explanation as to how the Holy Spirit can abandon someone--someone who believed so ardently that he went through divinity school, learned Ancient Greek (as well as Sanskrit) so he could read the New Testament in the original, and was pastor of one of the most famous churches in the United States. He was once pastor of the Old North Church--you know, the "one if by land, two if by sea" church.

And he doesn't believe anymore. Consider such a man a failure if you like, you can hold whatever opinion you want on any subject under the sun.

LH.

I think that you have a lot of mistrust and hatred in your heart, I am inclined to believe that you are in a lot of pain and seem to take some pleasure in inflicting pain in others, this make you feel a sense of acomplisthment there by putting value on yourself. All in the name of God.

You follow one thought process and It seems to me that you are corrupted and you yourself need to live a little more and experience life a little more and learn to forgive and not judge.

And again no one is perfect we all have our moments, however would it hurt to be more forgiving and less judgemental you may find and learn that your way of thinking towards others will be refreshed in a positive way.

Suck it up…. I will never apologize to you.

Shame on you…for whom you are and shame on you for your roots run amuck.

Here is your word...the Bible don't loose your way.

Now you are freaking out. I didn't ask for an apology, but others who saw what you wrote feel I deserve one--and they are probably right. But I don't care. I would rather you insult my father (whom you don't know and know almost nothing about) and show your true colors than the reverse.

Thanks for all the power, by the way. I am not Satan.

And I don't hate truth, either. You obviously do--no wait, you don't because you cannot even determine what the truth IS.

I would say that you are being un-Christian here, but in point of fact you are not. You are acting EXACTLY as Jesus and god do. If you don't think the right way, you go into torment FOREVER. On Earth, you don't even deserve common courtesy.

I don't deserve an apology because I think differently than you do. I am evil, and deserve mistreatment and insults. How far are you from burning heretics and witches? Not very.

If you want to identify me with Satan, go ahead. It isn't true (its impossible, actually), so it will be easy to refute anything you throw at me--just as it has been with everything else you have posted.

Over the course of this thread I have pointed out the flaws in your belief system (and all theistic belief systems), and have shown that religious belief can and does make people hateful, mean, bloodthirsty and cruel. Lo and behold, here are your most recent posts.

Shame on me? For what? For using my brain?
