Guest Posted December 16, 2002 Share Posted December 16, 2002 Help - I'm totally clueless!! Ever since I split from my X a couple of years ago, my dating life has been a disaster. I've been out on loads of first and second dates, but nothing has gone any further. Although we seem to have fun on the dates (plenty of flirting, eye-contact, conversation etc) girls just seem to stop answering my calls after a couple of weeks. I'm sure that this is a pattern that 90% of people go through at some stage, but right now I feel like I'm the only person it has ever happened to !! If you've got any tips to help me beat this cycle ... they'd be much appeciated!!! In particular, can anyone recommend any books that relate to this ??? Link to post Share on other sites
Tony T Posted December 16, 2002 Share Posted December 16, 2002 There's not much you can do except keep on dating, being yourself, being sincere, etc. Ask yourself if you are really over your ex. If you talk about her with these dates, that's why they aren't wanting to continue seeing you. If you haven't gotten over her, these ladies are picking up on this and don't want to be a rebound. Everybody goes through this kind of cycle, as you astutely mentioned in your post. I have gone through long periods of time when no woman anywhere would give be a second glance or the time of day. Then there have been other long stretches of time when five or six wonderful ladies were all interested in me at once. Life can be hell!!! Link to post Share on other sites
