Starry-eyed

I can relate most to Charlotte. She was a little bit prim, a little more lady-like than the others. She didn't seem as "loose" to me, not that I'm an expert on the show. Samantha was a total sleaze and pathetic on the inside, Carrie was just...I don't know, and Miranda was cynical and always kinda mannish.

Go Charlottes of the world!

To the women here, which "Sex and the City" character can you relate to most in your life? Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte or Samantha? And why?

To the guys, which one of the four characters would you prefer to date? And why?

Myself? I am such a Carrie. I can seriously relate with her need to be independent.

I would rather date Miranda. I like the idea of giving her prudish lawyer ass the kind of animalistic rough f*cking that she's never experienced with any of her previous wimpy boyfriends. I'd insist on her wearing skirts short enough to make her feel slightly shy & uncomfortable, and leave her naughty messages on her office voicemail/email that would make her blush as she pored over her latest tedious legal briefings. Samantha is too much of a tart and probably selfish & jaded in bed, Charlotte would just want to get married and have kids, and Carrie I just don't find sexy at all (would be a good female friend though).

Actually, he wasn't boring. He just loved her and treated her well, and she found that boring. She never gave him a chance to be unpredictable. Mr.Big was exciting, maybe, but he's a self-centered jerk.

Yeah, I've been with my soul mate(s) and the guys I couldn't help but want and it was wild and exciting. For a while. But in the end, who needs to put that much energy into a relationship? There's so much more to life! I'd rather be with a stable, sexy furniture maker so I could persue my life's dreams, which aren't just men! Geez, I'm getting all philosphical.

I totally agree with this. I never understood why Carrie chose Mr. Big over Aidan. Sure, he was more "unpredictable" and perhaps therefore more fun, but he always seemed so detached and completely into himself. Towards the end of the show, I felt that he was just the same as he was in the beginning; he didn't "change" or anything, like Carrie kind of diluded herself into thinking.

Aidan was hot, sweet, and caring. Mr. Big was ugly, mean, and self-centered. WTF? I bet he picked him because of his $$$.

Whatever.

I don't think I'm like any of those chicks at all, but if I had to pick, then I'd pick Charlotte for sure. She seems to me to be the only romantic of the four and is not nearly as whory as the other three. She lives in a bubble, pretty much, and I guess I kinda do too. :o

well let me tell you the Mr.Big's unpredictability is most likely gone after a few years of marriage. Now a days he's probably sitting around in his underwear drinking cheap bear and eating pork rinds. He's probably packed on 30lbs and has ED. I'm sure she's contemplating leaving him in the middle of the nite and taking their kids.

Charlotte is the most attractive. But I think she would try my patience. High maintenance and too idealistic. Carrie's less neurotic, non-smoking side in a Charlotte package would be pretty ideal.

Miranda and Samantha have nothing to offer me. (Sorry girls.)

LucreziaBorgia

I'm a pretty even mix of Carrie and Samantha. If I were going to date a SATC guy, it would probably be Steve. Mr. Big would be a 'sleep with a few times' guy. Interestingly enough, the guy I'm dating now looks like Smith.
