AHIWON
Good-looking and attractive are synonymous. I don't perceive them as separate issues. Yes they are tightly intertwined, Isn't it cool?

Trialbyfire
Yes they are tightly intertwined, Isn't it cool? Yes, very much so. Take two men of equal physical attractiveness, where one is cocky, the other one confident. I would immediately be drawn to the confident one and ignore the cocky one. bridget_jones
Hey Daniel, a 1 on this poster's scale is "stunning". I was always wondering if you look like your avatar. I always thought Wow, cute, if you do.
pelagicsands
One person's trash is another person's treasure. Anyway, ugly people can breed just as effectively as the stunning variety. They generally pair up quite predictably, except when money skews the balance. I guess that is equally predictable, though. I am bringing up the rear, but I have high hopes for my upcoming face transplant.

I would immediately be drawn to the confident one and ignore the cocky one. Problem is...can you tell the difference? Most girls dont. From my experince guys who are really confident are hardly noticed over those cocky types.

People can self-promote all they want but not too many people are capable of controlling the more subtle signals that their bodies give out.

I haven't dated any "ugly" guys but I have certainly fallen for some "average joes" or what other women would think were nothing special lookswise. I thought they were good looking, though, because I liked them.
pelagicsands
Body language screams confidence I totally agree. Wild pelvic thrusts are what does it for me.
DanielMadr
Hey Daniel, a 1 on this poster's scale is "stunning". I was always wondering if you look like your avatar. I always thought Wow, cute, if you do. .....teasing you again Bridget;) You need some crash course in teasing Bridget My avatar is of course better looking....who dont try to enhance oneself image, right? In reality I have smaller head in proportion to my body than Gary in Avatar, shorter hair and there are no strings on my wrists and ankles.
bridget_jones
I was on the phone with a potential date, and he asked me what I weighed. I said I am not telling you that, but I did tell you already that I like to go to the gym. He said "my last gf was 5'9" and 130 pounds, I go for only the thin women." I should have ended right there but I agreed to go out with him, and he had said he was "athletic build" but he had a huge gut. Definitely overweight. That to me is cocky. People can self-promote all they want but not too many people are capable of controlling the more subtle signals that their bodies give out. Actors can do that;) subtle signals....thats what is all about. Confident guy gives subtle signals, Cocky type gives strong signals. Walking like he owns the place, head cocked up. I tell you really confident guys are mostly those strong silent types. Hardly noticed.
