He still has a boyish crush?

My long-term boyfriend treats me very well and I know he loves me very much. This is evidenced in how he treats me in general. There is a lot of attraction between us and we are each other's best friends.

 

So, we went to a concert with some of my friends last night and because it's a campus-wide event, we end up seeing a lot of people we know. Everyone whom I meet who he doesn't know, I introduce to him, and he does the same. But when we come up to this gorgeous girl named Olivia who I didn't know who was an old classmate of my boyfriend's, he starts talking to her and then just leaves me on the side.

 

She doesn't pay much attention to him and treats him like he's some inconsequential piece of **** and he still shows infinite attention to her. Finally she glances at me, and says, "Chris! So rude, you should have introduced your girl!"

 

It bugs me because I'm worried that if I bring it up he'll think I'm jealous and that will have a negative effect. It's funny... he may talk to many girls and go out with girls as friends, but it never bugs me. But when he looks at this girl in that way it DOES.

This sucks. These grey areas confuse me...

 

Is this the 1st time this ever happened?

 

Are you absolutely sure it is what you think it is??

 

And since it's been long term relationship-does he ever see her regularly since then?

 

What exactly happened when you say "infinite attention"? I'm just trying to figure out what level of inappropriate this is....

 

I think you need to talk about this, for your sake. He prolly has no idea what's on your mind.

 

Just curious-when you say "left you on the side"...why didn't you just join them like you would have naturally? Were you intimidated by her initially, and held back a few steps hoping to see if he would introduce you?

 

Or did he literally drop your arm and make a beeline for her?
