pelagicsands
Everyone loses in the end. I take your point - I really do. But let's look at this pragmatically, instead of emotionally. OW gets a part-time penis. It's the best she can do. Win. MM gets two mouths on his penis. Win-win. (But maybe he wishes they were both on there at the same time. You can't have everything.) So far, that's two out of three. BS gets something, whatever that might be, and is happy enough. (Let's skip over the issue of her being unaware of OW - a huge caveat.) Sure, she might leave if she knew about the OW. But, despite not getting all the energies from her husband that she is entitled to, she persists with the relationship. Because she actually understands the meaning of the word commitment, or because of the children, or for whatever reason. And she gets to put her mouth on a penis. Cool. So, all in all, that's kind of a draw. Overall, that's 2.5 out of 3. Not too shabby.
NoIDidn't
I don't think I am a bad person & It's not the worst thing someone can do. Does anyone else agree? Is being the OW the BEST that you can do?

ThumbingMyWay
(Let's skip over the issue of her being unaware of OW - a huge caveat.) huge caveat is a huge understatement. The fact that the betrayed doesnt know is the biggest factor in every affair. But of course everyone has there own way of thinking... but i am curious....why dont yuo NOT skip over the issue of the wife being unaware of the OW. You seem to have all the selfish answers for the cheaters....but what about the ones who will be hurt the most. You can look at affairs without considering the emotional issues... (I hesitated writing it that way, but didn't know how else to put it!) Yeah, his tongue is planted somewhere..not sure which cheek though. As for the OP. Yes, I agree with what BO said. And although you may not be a bad person, you absolutely are lacking in the character dept. But I understand why. You were obviously not brought up well since your own family sees nothing wrong with this behavior. How sad for you.

ThumbingMyWay
Unless of course that something is herpes, genital warts, or HIV. we are suppose to skip over that....we are concerned with what the cheaters get out of cheating which is more penis attention. We have to look at this with selfish eyes....I mean God forebid we considering the aftermath and consequences.

What does it matter what a bunch of strangers think of you and what you're doing in your life? Obviously you don't see what you're doing is wrong and you don't feel bad helping him cheat on his common-law wife. You may not be cheating on her, but you're enabling him to cheat on her. "This is the greatest band in the world" oh my days, i used to live by that band... nirvana... smashing pumkins.... pearl jam... rage... janes addiction... these are bands of my youth! these a bands that kids of today still live by. i guess i was lucky to have grown up in KURT COBAIN's Raine. Still a Vacant Throne... Given to fly was the last great pearl jam track... and that was almost a 100% rip of a Led Zepplin... to the point where i dont know how they were NOT sued, because everythign was pretty much the same!! cept lyrics. but melody and everything the same. I respect you, I always have since whenever I first started coming to LS, I still do. What I was trying to say, without getting Pelagic into trouble, was that he did the pros and cons as a way of saying "F" you, dumb sh*t, here's what you get out of the whole deal....which is a BIG FAT ZERO. Some people need things to be more LITERAL.

bigblueeyes
. My wife cheated on me. And she was a good person. She has lots of freinds, everyone ask her for advice. People like to be around her becasue she just is a pleasant to be around. She helps people, is liked at work, etc, etc. She lights up a room. During our recovery, during my angry stage....oOne day she says to me. Why do you hate me? . I am a good person, people like me, my friends and family all think I am a caring person. I dont talk bad about people and everyone says I am fun to be around and that I am a good friend. I looked her straight in the eye and said. "maybe its becasue I am the only one who knows you are a decietful, lying, cheating women" she didnt have too much to say after that. This speaks volumes. Thank you for saying what I think a lot of us think, both OW/OM and BS's. THANK YOU!!!
Touche
So what you're saying is if some other woman was boinkin' your dad, for example, your mom would be okay with that? If some other gal was boinkin' your sister's husband that would be fine with her? Sounds like a major f--- fest in the making. Y'all live in the Smokey Mountains? Great post except for that last question. Shame on you! (By the way, that's SMOKY Mountains...not "Smokey.)
