Only 5 more months of this bs

Recommended Posts

I just got back from spending 2 weeks with my fiancé in Ohio. Arghhh it's horrible, I hate this first week. Anyways 5 months from today we will be getting married. This is the last time we will have to be apart. When I got home yesterday I was just thinking how this doesn't even feel like home to me anymore. Most of my stuff is there at his place, and I always feel like I'm home when I visit him.

Anyways the reason I'm posting is because I recently moved from Belgium to Liverpool, UK to be closer to my mum for the last year of me living in Europe, and I go to college 2 hours away, so apart from my family I don't really know anyone here. All my friends live in different countries, how sad. I wondered if anyone had any magical ways that I could make the next 4 or 5 months pass super quickly... or at least the first month, that is the worst. I'm planning on visiting friends once I have graduated but thats like 2 months away. I just hate when you first get home, it's the absolute worst part of being in an LDR :(

Hey, I completely understand what you're going through. I just went to see my girlfriend in Ohio the week before easter. And we won't be able to see each other for about 9 months. *actually, we're going to have our reunion on top of the empire state building 2 days before christmas! I know...a corny romantic gesture, but we couldn't help it after watching "an affair to remember" and "sleepless in seattle" back to back. haha* So what I've been doing is not calling her every single day, which will keep you from thinking about her often. You say you go to college? well, then immerse yourself in your studies, because that is what I am doing.

It's ok if you don't have any friends, for I don't really hang out with any of my "friends" anyways...my only real friend is my gal, anyways. Also, make a countdown of the days left, because it'll help. I've already crossed out 5 days and still wondering where they went! It really helps, so try it ok?

Oh, I forgot the last idea...if you really want to just make everything go by in a blur and you're a movie person, please watch AT LEAST 2 or 3 movies a day! Btw, I'm going to marry this girl soon, too. ;) So, Good luck with your adventure and God Bless!

Movies sound like a good idea. I have done nothing but watching mindless stuff all day!

Sounds like you guys will have a very romantic reunion! I'd try the not talking every day but sadly, thats pretty much all I have to look forward to each day! I usually do make countdowns but then I see theres like 100-something days which sucks! Although it is nice when you're on like 70 and then suddenly you realise there's only 30 left or whatever :)

Thanks for the suggestions anyways, I figure I'll work my ass off to finish college and then visit friends for a bit, it's nice to have little things to look forward to :)

Good luck with your marriage and stuff :)
