Im kinda of a shy guy but im not ugly looking or anything like that. I see all these other people with gf's and i just wonder how they did it. I wish i could just be normal like everyone else who constantly has girlfriends or can get numbers. Dose it get easier when you get older to get a gf?? i know at my age you have to be the one to approach the girl but even when i flirt its to no anvil. I just want to know if there is a light at the end of the tunnel and if it will get easier im just tired of being without a girl Link to post Share on other sites
what? Posted April 28, 2007 Share Posted April 28, 2007 I am the anti-your story. But the answer to your inquiry is the same. When I was your age, I felt the same way, have always been shy. Not Brad Pitt, but not repulsive either. I SAW (that's it) a girl 10 times above "my league," one of the hottest girls I ever laid eyes on. When I found out she had no bf, I straight up made a move on her, just went up, small talked and bluntly asked her out for a date. Completely out of character for me. I'm not the smoothest guy, either. To make a long story short, we ended up having a 4 year LTR, some of the best years of my life. Now in my older years, I have reverted back to super shy mode and it has not been any easier to ask women out. I know guys who have no fear and will ask girls out no matter the outcome. They do have a success rate of greater than 0. I need to read here my own story and do it again, I'd bet I'd be successful. I have been as of late, and I'm getting dates. I really think it becomes a matter of confidence. The worst that a girl can do is say no. There are MILLIONS of girls. They won't all say no.
