Zona76
What would you do if all your wishes came true. Everything fell right in your lap, no snags or problems what would you do? I'm talking reasonable wishes. Not loose 50 lbs by next Tuesday, or have some benefactor plant a million bucks in your bank account. I never wished for much through my life. I have always held back just a little one wish at a time... and here I am... It's all there. Great health, good job, no bills, and a loving man. I have had such a great stroke of luck. I am so blessed. I don't want to wish for things that are impractical. Because I don't want to live that kind of life. Plus, it could jinx the grandeur of what I have now. It's been here all along I suppose. I'm just now seeing this. My eyes are wide open and I'm in shock. Yet I still want to ask... "Why me? What did I do to deserve this?" I do believe that what has helped me acheive what I have is a positive attitude. I want, and I find a way. AND I pray.
Ariadne
What would you do if all your wishes came true. Everything fell right in your lap, no snags or problems what would you do? I would have 20 babies with Denver guy and be with him till I die. Ariadne
Fun2BMe
I don't want to wish for things that are impractical. Because I don't want to live that kind of life. Plus, it could jinx the grandeur of what I have now. By your definition impractical things are bad since you wouldn't want to live an impractical life. I'd think that would make it a given you or anybody would therefore not wish for it to begin with. What are you referring to?
Author Zona76
Many people wish for more than what they can mentally handle. Take on what you know and want. A little at a time. Make yourself acceptable of what comes into your life. Look at that obstacle. Face it. Analise why it's there. You may not have realized that just perhaps... just by chance it's there because you put it there. Think positive thoughts. *This is Important* Positive breeds good thoughts and results. The same for negative. If you think of something you want... and then think of all the reasons you don't deserve it, then it will NOT happen. When a bad thought starts to surface breath deep and tell yourself SHARPLY "NO" Repeat the good thoughts, believe it will be; and you will have it. If you're not getting your wish granted, concentrate on an alternative possibility. This will be able to sink into your mind and become more acceptable.
Author Zona76
Fun2BeMe; I don't wish for things I can't handle. A new car would be nice, but I don't want to be faced with the payments. I don't wish to win the lotto. I couldn't live in that class. It's not my style. I'm simple. I don't yearn for expensive things so I don't get them. I don't like designer stuff; I don't even wear jewlry when I get it. I have lived many years, and I have never asked for anything till recently. Why? My 30 year marriage was stale. I wanted love, and suddenly I found it. I decided to be happy with what I had. Then I thought divorce... *sigh Is it wrong for a Christian woman to ask for Divorce? So I prayed and asked for a window to open that I might see a way. Suddenly because I believed I deserved Love... I found the answer. My Mom is in a nursing home... we got a call telling us she was rushed to the hospital. She was not waking. The tried everything to rouse her and nothing. We all thought this was it... her time. On the way, worried and in tears I breathed deep thoughts and repeated she's alright...she's alright. My husband patted my knee and was worried and I smiled and told him she's going to be okay... I only held onto positive thoughts and she was back in her home after 2 days stay. I hope these words help you.
loveinlife
hi Zona76, This sounds very familiar to me. I saw a dvd two months ago and it's called the secret, basically the same things that you are refering to. It helps yet there are some critics about the positive thinking method. But if it works for you, i am happy with you. Perhaps i need to change my thinking and not think of the critics review as much. Things i wish for: 1. Open a business within 3 years. 2. Financially stable within six months. 3. Meet a wonderful women who can treat me right, soon =D. I know its a lot to ask for but that would be the best! 4. Be healthy and workout, yes the slender and fit type, yet have muscles. 5. Strike an A on my finals next tuesday. This post is pretty interesting, it is making making me think and set some goals. Thanks Zona. =D
