But then again I wouldn't be surprised if Marie Evans and Direct X were the same people. Its funny how the OP never replied and all of a sudden Direct X pops up from nowhere.

Below is the entire point I am trying to make:

According to the Gospel of John, the Pharisees, in an attempt to discredit Jesus, brought a woman charged with adultery before him. Then they reminded Jesus that adultery was punishable by stoning under Mosaic law and challenged him to judge the woman so that they might then accuse him of disobeying the law. Jesus thought for a moment and then replied, “He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.” The people crowded around him were so touched by their own consciences that they departed. When Jesus found himself alone with the woman, he asked her who were her accusers. She replied, “No man, lord.” Jesus then said, “Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more.”

(at least these people had a conscience and learned something. You people would have stoned her AND feel good about it. Bravo. Have fun looking at yourself in that mirror.)

Attempting to quote scripture are we? Now you’re really swimming with the sharks.

Oh, now the person who consents to adultery (which is also a sin according to Romans 1:32) wants to compare us to the Jewish High Priests. Adultery is a crime against God and if you had actually taken the time to read John chapter 8 instead of mindlessly yanking text off the internet you would have seen that what Jesus did was intended to expose the hypocrisy of the high priests NOT condone the Woman’s behavior. This is clearly evident by examining the text in verse 11 of the story you quoted where he states.. go your way and sin no more ..NOT “make yourself look more attractive so that you can continue enticing other married men”

Maybe, while you’re in the process of attempting to mindlessly download scriptures you know nothing about you’ll want to peruse the following text to gain some insight on God’s official stance on Adultery

1st Corinthians chapter 6 verse 9

9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom

Once again, you have made yourself look like a complete *******.

Please make another attempt at misquoting scripture so that I can enjoy the luxury of handing you your ass once again

Holy Crap. Reading that thread from directx and then taking another look at this thread... is this guy for real? The sympathy and understanding drudged up for the OP is astounding. But maybe not really when you think he, himself is a hoor. They must stick together. There are forums for that you know directx. One for child molesters too, as Nicki pointed out.

On the other hand, it sounds like dx has been reading too many fantasies and fancies himself a romantic writer, making up his doppleflapper stories. I don't buy it.

DirectX is clearly deluded and has made himself a figure of fun on this thread all by himself - topping it all off by quoting the Bible! Nice that we've received a lesson in morality from a guy who is cheating on his wife and kids and banging someone else's W - and he thinks WE need to check up on our morals. Classy DirectX, classy.

Wow, YOU are quoting the bible at US??

Directx-What happened in your life to make you so manipulative and untrustworthy? Hey-I'm not calling you those names, just a clear observation, no offense. (recgonize the directx touch here of name calling with no accountability?)

Dirextx Hits of the week:

directx: You can't even take care of the people closest to you (at me referring to my hard answers to the OP)

me: hey, so are YOU taking care of the people around you? You lie, cheat, and decieve the woman who just had your baby, WOW....you are great!

directx: Have fun looking in the mirror (at everyone who dares to judge him)

me: I do, nothing like a clear conscience, better than all the money in the world!!

directx: all the namecalling, moral high ground stances , blame shifting in all posts.

You're sick, sick man (I use the term "man" loosely) quoting the bible at everyone.

And yes Enema, he is definitely sniffing your user name after he cleaned his computer screen to get a better whiff . :) haha your comment really me laugh :):)

Doppling

We are going to try whats called 'doppling', where two people live an alternate life with each other.

For those not familiar with it, a couple like us

1) Gets a place to live that is located in the best place possible, so its located on the way home from our workplaces. That way there is in excuse if someone sees us in the area

2) We take on extra responsibility at our work places so we more of an excuse if we want to be at the place more

Then we decorate the place like we are actually married, like a doppleganger of ourselves. We are shopping for a place this weekend seperatly. I've this working well for other people and we figure we will give it a shot!

totally seperate world

We now live in a totally seperate world it seems! The living area is ours. If someone walked in,they would think us two lived together (which we do sorta).

We make small meals so when we go home we still eat regular dinners at our homes.

So far so good!

I don't really have any advise. But I sort of felt really, really scared of this post somehow.

Is cheating not considered to be a 'crime' anymore? Why would someone ask for advise for cheating? How many percent of the population think like this? I'm sorry, I've had a really rough time, and this is just scaring me. I don't think I'd want to jump into a relationship now. Hell I don't care if I never heal. I'm sorry, that was just really off-topic. But really, do you people often meet people like this thread starter? I'm worried.

To Marie: I'm not judging. I'm just really worried because you don't really seem like what my idea of what being a spouse would be... I'm really confused.

Your fears are completely justified Mia. This disgusting topic is truly representative of how immoral, narcissistic and desensitized much of our society has become. The original post is absolutely disgusting and should probably be used as a case study to display the mind of a truly selfish and conscienceless human being.

It’s quite disturbing that we live in a society that a person this low feels entitled to come to a public forum seeking advice on how to rekindle such a immoral and unhealthily relationship and actually get advice from an even lower individual on how to do so. I pity our children as I can only imagine how bad things will become in the next 20 years given the current path we, as a society, are on.

In my opinion, what the original poster said is paramount to saying something like

I walked into a grocery store last week and attempted to rob it. I pointed a knife at the store owners throat while grabbing the money out of the cash register. Suddenly, he managed to tackle me to the floor and relieve me of the knife. However, during the scuffle I broke my wrist which hurt very much. He then held me down against my will until the cops arrived and to my utter dismay I was actually taken to jail after a brief visit to the hospital. I’m out on bail now but have to return to court soon and I may face criminal charges. My wrist hurts like hell and I may have a hard time defending myself if I’m actually incarcerated. I am really worried about all of this so if any of you have any advice on how I can beat the system I would greatly appreciate it … oh, and, do you think I would be able to sue the store owner for a significant amount of money?”

Then, as if you were not disgusted enough by this original garbage posted above someone like DirectX responds as follows

“This is outrageous! How dare he violate your basic human rights by tackling you to the floor and harming you in the process? And to think, after he subdued you he had the nerve to hold you down against your will waiting for the cops! I think you should file a charge in criminal court for assault and then hire the best attorney you can find to sue the hell out of him!”

Has ANYONE ever said you were on the wrong side of this morality issue?

None of you still don't get it because you are so blind with rage and self-rightousness.

I just didn't think it was right the way everyone here is treating the TC.

If you don't like what someone is doing, you are not going to get anywhere berating them. You get much farther by constructively telling them they are wrong and why they are wrong, putting all the insults and the holier-than-thou attitude.

Try casting logic and reason instead of stones (but it looks like casting stones makes everyone feel better).

And I'll ask the question again because I know it will be ignored:

Has ANYONE ever said you were on the wrong side of this morality issue?

Ok, you are just too dense to continue arguing with. If you examine the first page of this thread you will see that several posters did try to tell her she is doing something wrong and you come along as if you were Mr Morality and make a blanket statement as follows Disregard all the judgement calls. At least you were brave and honest enough to post what happened.. YOu side stepped the real problem here and focused on helping this person to achieve that for which she was looking, the affections of this married man. You even complimented her on her non-existent honesty and bravery. in this situation honesty and bravery would be to stop the affair and inform her husband of what's going on so that at least he can have the choice to decide what he wants to do with this unfaithful woman. You have basically have done what's called "enabling" this woman to continue doing what she's doing wth no remorse b/c you never had the decency to even hint at the fact that what she's doing is wrong. You then take other posters words out of context to further blurr the real issue and even have the nerve to quote the bible to back up your misleading claims. YOu have turned this thread into a circus by claiming that everyone who disapproves of what she is doing can be likened to the Jewish High Priests that Jesus called hypocrites. So yes, Direct, by nature of all you have done above you have stated that we are on the wrong side of this morality issue and there are numerous posters who see this so it is not the mob mentality which is going on here.

Well, here is the first evidence that YOU are dense. She was HONEST in tell us her problem. Its not a flattering problem as you can agree. She didn't lie, did she? She was BRAVE in posting it in the first place. I mean, look at how you people treat her? You would HAVE to be brave to talk about this, especially when everyone is insulting her! Dont you agree?

Again, you are deciding what the real problem is. I was focusing on HER problem. You take it upon yourself to decide what her REAL problem is. Must be nice to know what other peoples REAL problems are all the time. You see, your REAL problem is you think you are helping by insulting and berating, and you cannot see that.

YOu have turned this thread into a circus

Well, you already stated how you will never stand up to your boss, so yeah, I can see why this would be a circus since you are practically a trained monkey

No, again you miss the point probably because you just dont want to see yourself as a stone caster. The point of the parable was 'let he who has no committed sin cast the first stone', and yet you throw more at this woman. I was hoping you would see how Jesus showed mercy on this woman and not allowed her to be stoned, but you want to twist it to protect your ego.

Quite simple really.

So are you going to continue to berate this woman or help her constructivly?

You know what? I'm a teacher, and one of my daily jobs is to clean up the hideous mess that people like DirectX and Marie leave behind. Why? Because kids and teenagers need to have good role models who teach them right from wrong, but unfortunately, a lot of kids don't get that. Do you have any conception of what it does to a kid or teen when they find out their mum or dad has been having an A? Any freaking clue? No, I'm sure you don't. It's horrible to see them go through that. And it's not something that just blows over - they carry it round with them forever.

I've made mistakes just like everyone in the world, so I'm not saying any of this to be blindly judgemental at all -but I try to be a better person - and a good person - and I can truly say I live by my principles and I can look at myself in the mirror and be proud of what I see. Unlike you two. My oldest students are still in their teens and not one of them are as ignorant as either of you.

Sorry for the rant everyone, but it is quite disconcerting, as Chaos said, to see this thread being either posted or defended.

What you fail to realize time and time again is that forgiveness is reserved for those who are sorry and what Jesus was saying in his parable is that if a person is sorry then they should not be judged to the letter of the Mosaic law, since Jesus’ own sacrifice was meant to replace that law by means of a new covenant see Jeremiah 31:31. This is exactly why the ancient Israelites had to sacrifice animals to atone for their sins but Jesus’ own blood has atoned our sins once and for all time Hebrews 9:12. The true meaning of this parable is “the wages sin pays is death but the gift God gives is everlasting life” Read the 6th chapter of Romans to enlighten yourself on this fact. And just like the High Priests YOU are twisting the meaning of scripture to suit your own views … they did it to trap Jesus and mock his ability to forgive our sins.. You do it to make people feel bad about having a conscience and letting a person know that their behavior is wrong. If Jesus truly meant that no sinner on earth should ever feel moral outrage at another’s sinful behavior then why did the Apostle Paul tell the Corinthians to “expel” people engaging in deviant acts in the early church 1st Corinthians 5:9-12? Is this not a form of casting a stone and judging? Let’s take your “judge no one lest you be judged” stance once step further. If none of us can judge another since we are all sinners then why is it people get locked up in prison by the “authorities”. Police, judges and prosecutors should have NO power to bring consequence to a lawbreaker lest they be guilty of “judging” another.

Listen dude.. You view point has merit under the right set of circumstances and this is NOT one of those circumstances. The original poster showed no remorse or intent to discontinue her selfish behavior or at least give the innocent victim the decency of a choice. She is vile, arrogant, immoral and narcissistic and in no way resembles a person worthy of forgiveness (AT the present time). Now, if she comes back on this thread and says something like “I have realized the people I’m hurting, the bad example I’m setting and the lives I could be ruining then I would be the first to extend the olive branch because the it’s GOD’s job to look into her heart and see if she is truly sorry not mine. However, I will not stand on the sidelines and watch society decay without, at the very least, expressing my DISPLEASURE at those who cultivate our own undoing. You say you’re integrity is not for sale and I agree because quite simply you HAVE NONE.

Now you see, that was well put. There wasn't any insults, bashing, or holier-than-thou attitude. I would have toned it down a bit, but here we have insight to how destructive the behavior might be. Ok Chaos40, lets agree with the above.

So because 'she wasn't sorry', which she wasn't, what in hell gives you the right to berate her and insult her?

You called her 'a real piece of work'

and referred her to the 'scumbag manual'.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?

If you not going to help her, you decide you'll insult her?

Yeah, your a real nice person.

I'm glad you can read the bible. Why don't you learn from it now.

Again,

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?

Answer this please.

Your twists and turns and clever diversions do not absolve you of the fact that in your original post you actually provided advice on how to further the affair. That, DirectX, is what is pissing everyone off. Your goal is not see another's viewpoint and offer constructive advice. your goal is to see any thing you can find in a persons response that can be used against them thereby diverting the true meaning of what is going on here. So many people see through this and you're the only one who doesn't.

Tell me one thing that is constructive about telling a woman who is married how to regain the affection of a man who is also married and is currently attempting to back off.

Yes, Mr Morality, you help her to find ways to continue this affair. that's a real contribution to society.. you should be proud of yourself. And given the lives may be ruining with these actions she is a piece of work.. it's a true statement. that's why I WOULD DO THAT!
