asked out but...

Recommended Posts

A guy asks you out on a date

You accept

He asks for your number

You don't know your phone number cos its new but you tell him a mutual friend has it

He says he will get your number off the mutual friend

Two weeks later and no call to ask you out

What I am asking is...

Is that normal? Shall I be patient or just write him off?

Its just that I feel a bit annoyed and I am worried if he eventually calls it feels like its too late plus I am a bit peed off with this delay and I may reject him.

Or should I be patient and act sweet if he calls even if I don't feel sweet, because I am overreacting or something?

Thats why I want to know if this behaviour from him is normal or not.

If he doesn't call his loss :) But that will be weird too cos then I'd wonder why he even asked me out in the first place!

He seemed very enthusiastic about taking me out. I hang out with people he knows too, but not all the time :)

I wouldn't wait around for him to call. Its like you are selling something, and you pass out business cards....you dont wait for those people to call you. If they call you great, if not, maybe you'll run across them again.

he could've taken the "get my number from a common friend" deal as a nice form of rejection.

that's my 2 cents,

I agree with Yes, that maybe he took the whole "get my number from a mutual friend" thing as a rejection. If you are really into this guy, give your number to the mutual friend to give to him if you don't plan on seeing him anytime soon. I assume you know your phone number by now...

Thanx guys :)

The mutual friend has my number already and he knows she has it.

So I take it all this advice means to be nice and sweet when I next see him and have my number memorized? hehehe
