lonelybird Posted May 4, 2007 Share Posted May 4, 2007 My prayer got answered, it is true, no prayer, no answer; seek, you will find I remember there are verses about Jesus is the life giving water, when I felt vulnerable and upset, then I asked "Lord, how can we drink this life-giving water and never thirsty? now I am thirsty, how can this be?" then this morning Lord answered me, and this made me incredibly peaceful. John 4:14 but those who drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give them will become in them a spring which will provide them with life-giving water and give them eternal life." What is true happiness? lots of money, man, woman, power? People tend to find happiness or love source in all outside elements instead of inside. Are these things familar to you? If I get that man/woman, I will be happy; If he JUST loves me, I will be happy! If I become a millionair, I will be happy If I can let him divoice his wife, I will be happy If I get that fabulous new car, I will be happy If I increase my ability of controling outside environment, so I can get what I want, I will be happy .... If we cannot get these things, we feel incredibly frustrated. But usually when we really get these things, the genuin happiness doesn't come, or cannot last long. The problems is twin of life, as long as we live here, the problems never stop. We find we begin to chase new goals, for some people new man/woman:o , we are busy and mad to chase new wind or we cannot feel we are alive. Then I remember a story about a man who are very famous, who has every thing other people in this earth want, but he didn't feel happy, he did drugs, did mad parties, nothing made him trully happy. One day he got caught and was put into prison, the most amazing thing is "he found freedom in that cell, but before he was caught he felt like prison!" In prison he knew about God, he began to learn that true happiness inside of him. in prison outside elements that entertained him were all cut off, but he found true happiness in his heart! True happiness doesn't rely on outside circumstances; if we do, then we expose ourselves on frustrations. True happiness comes from within, that God provide that peace and genuin happiness. whenever our heart connect with God, that peace and happiness come magically. when we feel vulnerable, then probably we didn't rely on God on that paticular matter, instead we try to find comfort outside. We hope other people can fill that love bottle FOR us; we hope other people do just what we hope them to do; we hope we can get self-seek love (what others can give us). And all these things set us into a mindset of vulnerability. Our wounds were caused by outside elements and people. Bible says "true love can cast out fear". It is a kind of love that seek to GIVE to others. when we give, what do we fear? nothing; but self-seek love bring fear (I know it:p ). To Them a bigger car a better House,Fine Clothing all mean that God Love them. You only need to find your inner core and your true self. Once you have that then you have everything. Island Girl God, Heavenly Father, is not like our parents, HE is far loving than our parents. HE will not forsake us, nor treat us badly. sometimes our parents even make some insensitive remarks, they sometimes put us down; but God never fails us. HE give us perfect love that even parents cannot give. Sometimes I found myself tired, but as long as I turn to God, HE will recharge me, restore the peace in my heart. HE gives me love and advices. I am the one in control of my emotions and thoughts. I live without belief in any religion. It is unnecessary for happiness and peace. You believe I am "HIS" child. I do not. Think about Jesus, he could sacrifice his own life to save all human being, we cannot crucify our little ego??? Ego is selfish, self-centred, belongs to flesh. I remember one of Joyce Meyer sermons, she mentioned a robot who only words is "what about me, what about me, what about me....", pretty funny, but so true. Our society is a self-centred society, that make so many people unhappy. My father used to have a bad habbit that made me embarrassed (sorry, pa). The second day after my prayer, my father totally changed his bad habbit which last for many years:eek:, he himself didn't even notice now. Praise God :love: Haleluya We are saved by grace, not that we are good enough, not that we did enough good works, but we are saved totally by mercy of God, it is free gift. Good works won't take us to heaven, relative good in our eyes is not the standards of God. Think about that! how many dirty thought in our mind in one day? How many times we act like animal when other people hurt us deeply that we want to revenge? How many times we hurt others without knowing? Without Jesus we all dead by now:eek:. Praise Jesus:love: If you are born again Christian, when you have issues, did you turn to God first? Did you rely on yourself rather than God? Did you rely on your friends rather than God? Bible teach us to trust all. and recently Lord deal with me about the trust issue because I feel I lost trust for whole male group and feel disappointing about them. I told Lord that "I only can trust you, other than that I cannot trust another man, please don't push me" But one day Lord told me that "trust another person is an act of love, trust is a decision, not a feeling:eek:. Even we know that person hurt us, even we know they make mistakes, even we know that they don't match the moral level we expected for them, we still can CHOOSE to trust them. Not that we ignore their defects, but even knowing their imperfection, we still can trust their good part, positive part, we trust on God, HE will make everything good in the end. No trust, no love. Love bring trust. It is a decision." Well, I feel this is difficult to do, but I believe one day I will. Lord is all other serving. I guess we have to fight our flesh:o I know I did many things failed Lord, but HE still loves me, unconditionally. I guess only Lord can bring this kind of peace into people's heart.
