Guest Posted May 9, 2007 Share Posted May 9, 2007 I was set up on a blind date with a guy and we hit it off really well, he would call and we would talk on the phone for hours and go out a couple times a week. I really, really like him a lot. He came over to my apartment on Sunday night and everything was fine, then after about an hour he said out of the blue "I think we need to step back and be friends". I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. He says we can still hang out that he would call me, he has a book of mine and said he would call me and we could meet up and he'd return my book (why didn't he just bring it with him?). I asked him if I was just not his type and he said that was hard to say. Then he asked me if he was my type. I told him yes but that that didn't really seem to matter to him. He just stayed sitting on the couch with his arm around me for another ten minutes or so and then got up gave me a big hug and left. It's been three days and I haven't heard from him. I can't "be friends" with this guy, I like him to much. If I talk to him and try and ask if he would be willing to give it another chance do you think it would help? Is there anything I can do to change his mind? Does it mean anything that he kept my book knowing he would have to see me again to return it? Link to post Share on other sites
