alexa137
ok i wont go into detail(more on coping forum-but didnt get response) if you want to know more of story so basically my bf of a year,we were living 2gether for 9 months, he decided he want time apart so he moved out of house, less than a week he moved back in at my new apartment everything was ok until about 2 weeks ago when he said he wanted his own place--well so far he hasnt said anything or moved anything and one night i got mad bcause he has been ignoring me since then and put his stuff in the hallway outside bedroom and told him not to come into bedroom--well i guess hes still mad-the other night he said i should have never touched his stuff!!! oh well just trying to get him to realize if youre gonna move out do it! i know he cant afford it on his own-he cant even afford to give me $50 a week for rent! but anyways he was avoiding talking to me for over a week and over the weekend i told him that if he wants a relationship with me you cant be out all day working and then all night til 11-12 at night and not spend time with me thats not the kind of relationship i want--or break up and no contact no phone calls, no texts, nothing--what makes it difficult is his dad lives across the yard from me in apt complex and that is where he is 60% of his day! well i was really upset til yesterday when i started thinking i cant take this anymore--but he still comes here everynight to sleep and shower! i dont think he can leave me alone! thats the hard part--like i told my therapist--the really only option is to change the locks on the door(he would be pissed!) but i cant afford it i try to find ways to stay away from apt but is hard since i have aschool aged child so....i need to give him other hints that im not taking this anymore! help!!! amaysngrace
-the really only option is to change the locks on the door(he would be pissed!) but i cant afford it Two doorknobs cost around $20 at a hardware store in a two pack. All you need is a phillips screwdriver. Line up the new lock where the old one was. Do it when he first leaves, so you have time to do it right. I'm a girly-girl and I did it before. So can you. I changed doorknobs on metal doors before, and the reason I know this is because I use to hang magnetic stuff on them. Have you gone to the office and spoken with the manager about your situation? Maybe they can break it down into installments for you.

Tell them you lost your door key. It had a store card on the key chain and you're afraid you'll be identified. Ask them if they can change the lock for you and can they break down the cost for you so you don't have to pay it all at once.
