afraid of letting go

Recommended Posts

hi, ive been with my girlfriend going on 7 months and i love her to bits but ive lost a lot of the excitement like such as not being eager to see her and being able to go a week without seeing her. as well as this ive noticed it takes less and less from her to get me annoyed and i find myself snapping at her which leads to arguments. ive felt for a while that the relationship may be dead but ive kinda put it off hoping time will heal it. i guess im just afraid of letting her go because i still love her but perhaps not in the same way.

can anyone give any advice as i really dont know what to do.

p.s. she now knows that my love for her has changed and is questioning whether i want to be with her.

Listen to your gut. If you aren't "inlove" with her, and you're not enjoying spending time with her, then maybe it is time to end it.

It's okay to miss her, love her and all, but that isn't enough of a reason to stay with her. All you'll be doing is prolonging the pain, she knows that you're not as into her as you once were...

Be nice about it, don't make her feel bad. Let her know how special she is to you and always will be.

People grow apart for various reasons, so it doesn't have to end in a mean or awful way...Sure, it will hurt, but you can do it respectfully and give her the closure (and you too) that she'll need.
