Author Pyro
Okay, confession time. I opted out of selecting one of my friends for my maid-of-honour and took the sister route. It was difficult to pick without hurting someone's feelings because the ones I would have selected from, we all knew each other since highschool, some closer at different times than others. My problem is that I am not close enough to anyone in my family whom I could use as my best man. I think you will marry your best friend Riddler. You never acquired a best friend because you were saving space for her. And you aren't one to put your friends above your lady. Definitely not the lady you will spend your life with anyway. This is just how I see you though. She is definitely my best friend but I know that all guys also have a best guy friend and that is where the problem lies.
melodymatters
Is your father alive ? My first wedding I had my mom and dad on one side, and he had his 2 best guy buddies on the other. Who cares, as long as it works for you !

Who cares, as long as it works for you ! He is but I am not too close to him. I will only go and see him a handful of times a year. I have a cousin that I am sort of close to but I don't think that I could use him as the best man. Oh well, its not like I am getting married within the next year, so its something that I don't have to worry about just yet.
bluetuesday
my oldest brother had four best men. it was like reservoir dogs at the altar when they all stood up in their black suits with him. he couldn't choose between his friends, and he didn't have a best friend except his soon-to-be-wife, so he bent the rules a little. it was a great wedding. it'll be your day, rid. if you want no best man, if you want eight, that'll be cool. there are no rules to say you need a best man at all. if you're really stuck, does your gf have a favourite bro? She has a brother but I have yet to meet him. He is in the navy and lives in Virginia. You know BT, you are right. That will be my day and I can bend tradition a bit to fit the wedding how I want it.
