Why do you even want her?

I don't know where you get that there is this anti-men movement out there brainwashing women. I think it is pretty much limited to the woman-hating boards where a very small representation of society's men post....the whacko ones. I have female friends, some with relationship problems, others not, and I have never heard bashing of the male gender. I have never heard my married female friends bashing the male gender. I have never heard men in real life have that attitude. I will also state that most of my friends have college educations so they might have a different perspective of reality...don't know. If men who post on those women-bashing boards think that is a realistic portrait of women, they are sorely misguided.

That is true...

The only times I have heard either gender bashed personally, is after someone has been rejected.. 'tossed aside' so-to-speak.

Anger is also a funny 'ol' emotion to... blinds you as much as love... makes your stomach feel funny as well..and can make people to silly things........

Anger is usually driven by something else. You can't 'feel' anger, you can be jealous, afraid, embarassed, mistreated, lack of justice etc, but anger is the result of another emotion.

So, when Woggle is 'angry' at women, it's being guided by another emotion, and wars (and I don't really want to contribute to that thread) aren't started out of anger either.

That being said, the emotions fear and love are so close chemically in our bodies that oftentimes when we're scared, we misattribute that emotion to love (similar to, but not exactly like when captives begin to feel for their captor). Maybe it's self-preservation, or trying to stay sane during chaos. And maybe it can even be extended to cheaters, I don't want to say (since I'm struggling through my own EMA)...

Interesting, but maybe not that appropriate to the OP?

If it were possible to free yourself from the recurring thoughts that you have about women being <insert your words here> would you consider it?

My guess is that the answer is no. It's his security blanket of sorts. I think Lyndia hinted at that and expressed it much better than I ever could.

Great question though.

Wog, I'd like it if you really gave that some serious thought. Answer it honestly.

We laugh at Woggle and his paranoid rantings, but perhaps many of us are guilty of keeping toxic people (or if not the people themselves, just the memories of them) in our lives because the comparison flatters us. You seem like a good, kind and intelligent person, TBF. I'm sure you didn't need to sit some unpassable "perfect girlfriend" test, set by one of life's sh*ts, to prove that.

Thanks lindya.

That was a good post.

I was curious to see if Woggle could stand back from his hatred of women enough to gauge a situation, instead of gauging by gender.
