One week before separation

Recommended Posts

...I will keep on researching, analysing, exploring to see if my current observations on women are not biased before posting on the subject again.

Well, let me save you some time and trouble then...

YES. Your observations on women ARE biased.

You know, the subject of immigration is just a vehicle in terms of this thread. If you guys want to start another one somewhere, I've posted to them before and heck, I'll be happy to post again.

But for the sake of THIS discussion the pertinent information is that if NS wants to take issue with a group of people based on a one-dimensional view... hey, I can do that too. IOW, if you want to pick at people based on a generalization, you're just as subject to generalizations as anybody else. I could've picked ANY aspect... your nationality, your gender, your religion... and used it to pick you apart. Because, as you pointed out, we're all free to do think what we want and adopt our own philosophy.

Does it make it right though... to do this base on generalizations?

If a white guy gets mugged by a black guy, does it then stand to reason that "most" black guys are muggers?

Your current prejudice is the same sort of nonsense.

You know, when we speak of "observations", I've noticed that humans have a tendency to try to bring order to chaos. You empty out a box of wooden blocks in front of a toddler, and what does he do with them?... he starts stacking them. But if he's late for his nap, cranky, hungry, or sitting in a wet diaper, what does he do then?... he starts hurling them around the room.

Although not all women may have a certain characteristic, a significant amount of them might.

My current view makes perfect sense to me as it explains many marital situations and also helps a man to make smarter decisions in this feminism-infested western society.

Western women are attracted by money, power and fame (this is in line with evolutionary theory). Western marriage is a licence to steal (as prenuptial agreements are easily contested). This 2 facts explain why 75% of divorce is inititated by women. Millions of divorced men in America are experiencing financial devastation due to divorce, their stories are heard by unmarried men who get wiser:

The median age of first marriage for men has reached 27, the oldest age in our nation's history.

12% of US men married foreign women in 2006.

And nearly 24% of the other men refuse to ever marry.

American women are the fattest in the world, they are turning into pigs!

Well... Thank God you're doing all that 'researching, analyzing, and exploring to make sure your observations on women aren't biased! :lmao:

(p.s. to Gunny.... If you see Jeff Sessions... kiss him right on the mouth for me, won't you?! :p )

I'm done with this thread! And NS! Nothing personal? But we're never going to agree!

I could not resist to post when LJ said that my view was nonsense before I even had one day to do some research. I’ll keep you posted on my observations.

Most of the women running around here? All they've got to offer me is sex and

We agree ;) You just have a nicer way to say things than me.

IMHO NS? You're trying to live too fast, and accomplish too much to quickly.

The average of Wall Street salary is 300k, I might have sounded trying to impress, but I was not, I am way below average compared to my peers. Three of my friends makes between 300k to 1 mio $ a year. And they are no older than 35. Most of my friends who have similar salaries as mine are younger than me. So frankly, I had no reasons to brag.

Most have decided to never get married. One only dates younger women; once they reach 25 and want marriage, he dumps them. None wants to marry American women. One married a gem from South America.

retirement? SUCKS

It does not have to sucks. Life is boring only to boring people.

I have learned that it is always better to speak the truth and to be true with oneself. It is not good to hide behind the mask of anger and revenge. It is not important if people don’t like to hear our true feelings and decide to take advantage of it. It is important to be able to live with oneself by doing the right thing. It is not important if someone doesn’t appreciate our generosity, what is important is to be generous. What is my money worth for if it is not to help someone else in need? I am a warrior and protector of the Dharma, and in that role, I decided to drop all hateful feelings. It could mean that I will be taken advantage of, but I am strong enough to weather all the pain. I will take the suffering of others on my shoulder.

My STBXW claimed she needed more money because she had health problem and lived in a s***ty place. My first reaction was anger and feeling of justice. But then I felt wrong so I decided I would help her. I don’t care if she hates me or will never come back to me. I am not even sure I want her back. But I know there is a damn good reason why I always wanted to become rich, it is to be able to help people in needs.

Also, I decided to stop with the posts that may be taken as an offense.

You been getting down with 'The Art of Happiness' too NS? Loving Kindness is a gift we give ourselves as long as it doesn't come to our own detriment. Yes, helping your ex is a really nice thing to do for her but is it going to be alright for you? Don't do it if its going to hurt you- if you start helping her out is it going to stop? Is she always going to be asking?

You can be a good person without being taken advantage of, you just have to know your own boundaries and listen when your gut tells you they're being crossed.

I wish you the best on your journey.

I read tons of books about the Dharma a long time ago. I did not like “The Art of Happiness”

I am not in some kind of freaking journey.

I am a pragmatic, I am not a dreamer. I believe 1000 dollars is more helpful than prayers.

I help her because it is in harmony with who I am and it is not hurting me.

I am a warrior and protector of the Dharma

When did this happen, and to which Dharma do you refer?

Cheers,

D.

Among the many books I read on the Dharma, “Le Chemin de la Grande Perfection” from Patrul Rinpoche is the best. I don’t know the English title.

Sorry, I can’t post much anymore, I am too busy moving on. To all the chumps in pain here, keep it simple stupid, if she/he does not like you anymore, just dump her/him.

Okay. I'm just having a hard time reconciling the attitude you've displayed here and outright ludicrous beliefs (like the one about hunting women for sport) with anything I'd consider as the Dharma.

I hope self-righteousness hasn't blinded you too much as a result of all this.

Cheers,

D.
