LoveLace
They say alcohol is truth juice. What about cocaine? Will it make a person act "happier" or lovable? And they are not like that every time you see them? Will it make someone express feelings better?
sb129
IMO drugs don't necessarily enhance your personality, although alot of people would disagree. Alcohol isn't necessarily "truth juice" but as it lowers your inhibitions, alot of people may feel more comfortable spilling the truth when under the influence. Cocaine makes you more confident, and IME makes people a little arrogant and annoying. People rant on and on when high on coke, and its usually about BS. Ecstasy has a similar effect except replace arrogance with loving everyone and everything.
sb129
The downside is what goes up must come down. The lows after such highs can have just as negative an impact the other way.... moodiness, depression, withdrawing into self etc. Mostly, peoples personalities when they are under the influence of drugs isn't a particularly good indication of what they are like when they are straight. Most of the three drugs I mention could make even the shyest person get rowdy if they had enough.
Author LoveLace
My roommate has a history of being down this road. I'm so worried that I want to cry...yet I don't know if my suspicions are correct and I couldn't guess the extent of the problem. But he looked thinner today; I haven't seen him much over the last week cuz our schedules clash a lot. Friday night he was all happy to see me and we shared a nice long hug. It was also 5am so he went out after work. But today, I only saw him 10 min. cuz he went to work. He was being perfectly nice but not near as happy about seeing me...just kinda there and I he blew his nose twice after he woke up. I even jokingly asked if he was doing coke a week ago, and he said no way and I'm tripping, but he's only been nice ever since. I feel like his affection is to cover himself up.
