Callanetics....the bum/butt exercises. They're startlingly effective if you can bear to do them on a daily basis. The exercises only involve tiny movements, but they're really tiring on your legs and hips. Don't know if there's a link to an online description of them, so you might have to buy/rent the tape or DVD. Definitely worth the investment though.

Keep in mind that the higher the resistance exercise, the more bulk you will get. More reps of lighter exercises helps to tone.

What's so bad about a Big Butt? The Bigger the Cushion the Harder the Pushin'. It might just be that you will have the Butt whether you excercise or not. It's part of your equipment. Rejoice, and celebrate it. Flat Butts are much worse.

Exercises won't reduce your butt. They will just help tone and firm whatever muscle is there. Squats and lunges can actually make your butt protrude more and it will sometimes look bigger. The only way to reduce it is to cut back on calories. But if you are genetically predisposed to gain weight there, as I am, it can be hard to lose in that particular spot. Still, the exercises are in general a good idea b/c a big, firm butt is better than a big, droopy butt.

All that being said, my body image must be skewed because I fit into a size four/six jeans, so it really can't be that bad. Is yours really that big or are you just being paranoid?

Yeah, Story is right. What about all those racing skaters we look at in the Olympics? Talk about Butts! But(t) those are big juicy muscle butts! Yum!

Think Apollo Ono !

Mf, I think that if you are in good shape, and it sounds like you are, then maybe it's just how you are built. If you were sedentary, then that would be a different story. I'll bet you look a lot better than you think you do, and that you are comparing yourself to some "ideal", the way we all do when we are 16 years old.

Heed what I said about Apollo Ono, who is gorgeous, and would probably think his butt was too big if he were not who he is. Several years ago I had a gorgeous bf who was a bicycle racer who had a big muscular butt and

thighs in proprtion to his upper body. I thought he was a babe, and other women did, too.

'

I think you should accept and love your body the way it is, hard as that may seem. My guess is that your body is way better looking than you think it is, butt-wise (that's just how it seems to be when you're a teenager, and I do not mean to sound patronizing). Being healthy, fit, and confident is what makes a guy attractive. If you watch any sports you will know what I mean... lots of professional male athletes, not just skaters, have a real Butt...baseball, football, even track. Rejoice in your youth and your muscles! Gluteous Maximus Rules!
