i have half a filet mignon left from last nite....i'm going to eat it right now as a lite snack to tide me over to dinner.

Now thats just cruel.

 

I'm going to the grocery store...Were having steak and grilled veggies for dinner. Thats my favorite healthy snack along with a fast long walk after.

Okay I like these:

 

Butter Crunch Salad

Banana Chips

Dried fruit

Tomato Chips

Fresh veggies and fruit

Grilled Chicken

For a healthy meal (even breakfast sometimes... I'm weird) I make a salad with the following:

 

3 red bell peppers, chopped

1/3 of a chopped red onion

handful of chopped Italian parsley

handful of chopped Kalamata olives

1/2 cup chopped lite Feta cheese

a glug of olive oil

a glug or two each of white wine vinegar and balsamic vinegar

dried thyme

pepper

a small handful of pine nuts or peanuts for protein (optional)

 

I call it my "bastardized Greek salad". I love it -- I eat it once or twice a week. It's not totally fat free but it's got piles of veggies and tons of flavour. It's a big salad but you can really put it away... bell peppers have something like 30-40 calories each.
