monkey00
I finally graduated last week, it feels great because I made a big accomplishment. These past few weeks have been great as me and classmates have been celebrating constantly together at bars and restaurants. Although I love em, the case is I probably wont see most of them anymore. Graduation marked an end of an era for me, at the same time it symbolizes being a slave to society. I cant help but have the grim outlook of 'the beginning of the end'. Im not worried about transitioning into the workforce or finding a job in my career. It's been somewhat covered already because I've been working (in my field of study) while going to school. Ill be moving into an apartment with my friend in July. Instead of looking forward to night classes after work or chat with the very classmates who would inspire and support each other, i wont have that anymore. meaning a big gap of my time from 6-9pm will be free from now on...with little to do after work. I suppose the idea of not constantly engaging with a variety of people as well as the new work-home routine is going to drive me nuts. It reminds me how redundant my life will become. School has been over for a week already, and psychology (and perhaps physically) im feeling the effects of 'realizing' school is over. You guys will probably think im nuts for saying this...but I miss school, my crazy classmates and professors. What can I do with my spare time? How do i get rid of this 'bored' feeling out of my system? Did anyone else share a similar experience after college?
Tony T
Life is NOTHING BUT CHANGE...all the time. Your schedule will change often. Your list of friends will evolve constantly. Unfortunately, the day comes when us males can't even get it up anymore. So get used to change now!!! You can audit night classes. Take classes that will enable you to meet nice people. You can work on starting your own business so you won't be a slave to some company...be your own boss. You can read, do research on your computer, watch television, eat out with friends, take up sports, join a gym, spy for rogue nations, map out plans to run for president, spend time with someone special, call friends you haven't talked to in a long time, take drives to places you've never been before, etc., etc., etc. GEEZE....you've spent all this time getting educated and you can't even figure out what to do with your extra time??? And don't remember, there's nothing at all wrong with NOT DOING A DARNED THING! Learn meditation and just sit there and zone out with the other Buddhas of the world. You might learn something.
