RecordProducer
Last year I got a picture of the kids printed on a white T-shirt and it says below "We love daddy." I think it's a very cute present for those who haven't used the idea yet. I also got him a framed picture of the three of us. But I have to think of something original now, too. I don't want to buy him something that he can buy for himself or another cup that says "you're loved." I know! His favorite cake with some nice writing on it and some art work in the computer? ConfusedButLoved
I think the T-shirt idea is adorable! I hate buying things he can buy for himself too! I feel like it's a bit pointless seeing as he is the bread winner and I'd be spending his money anyways. I think I might take some pictures of the kids and get a nice frame so he can put it up at by his computer maybe get one to put at the desk at work too. I'm interested in seeing other's ideas as well!!
hotgurl
I don't know yet. I was thinking of getting him a badminton set and hfor my dad some fishing stuff.
Touche
Wow, thanks for reminding me. I've got to get moving on that. I already know what I'm going to do for him for Father's Day but I have to look into how I'm going to go about this. He has mentioned several times how he'd like the RV waxed. It's too big for me to do myself or I'd do it but I need to find out if someone can come to the house and do it. He'll be SO suprised.

Touche
... and I've missed you too, you sweet pie, you. I dunno what RV stands for, but you don't have to wax the "too big" part. Just wax his legs and balls. I bet he'll be surprised! I'm sitting here eating some pretzels and just spit some out from laughing. You're so funny RP! Unfortunately, it's nothing that exciting. RV stands for recreational vehicle, you silly. But now you've given me a better idea....mmmmm:p
Pink Amulet
Hahahaha! I was wondering the same thing. Getting all excited about Touche's husbands waxing. Then I find out it is a camper van

Author RecordProducer
Yeah, I knew what RV stood for, I asked hubby, but I played dumb. I haven't decided about the present yet... WHEN is father's day anyway?

hardcase
My wife got me mine already...a charcoal grill...mainly because she wants cookouts. So next year I'll get her a great set of cookware!!
My Fair Katie
Father's Day is June 17th. Still up in the air here, DH is not a father, but we can't decide if he should go visit his folks and take them to visit his uncle, OR if they should come down here for a Durham Bulls game (my father in law loves baseball). If hubby goes there I'll party with Mexican food and beer (two things he hates). If they come down here it's a good excuse for some grilling. I don't talk to my own father. So next year I'll get her a great set of cookware!!I bet she'd go mad if you bought her pots for Mother's day! Next year buy her cookwear, a book called "Cooking for Beginners".. and a pack of weight-loss pills (ten bottles in the pack)! Father's Day is June 17th. Thanks. I don't talk to my own father. Oh... Why? (You don't have to answer that)
Curmudgeon
It's a beautiful piece of Korean celedon pottery made by that country's master potter in celedon who's been declared a national treasure. The piece is gorgeous -- celedon blue-green decorated with a flight of cranes rising up. My wife and I both love ethnic art and this is meaningful to me as I spent almost two years in Korea back in the 60s.
whichwayisup
Well, my father died in 1993...And, my H and I don't have any kids.(yet.) I'll probably end up going to the cemetary that day.

mammax3
Ugh, I have no idea. I'm browsing for some too. I don't know how I should handle H - so I think I'll leave that one. Last year the kids made a stepping stone with their hand and feet prints for their grandpa which was very well recieved. Have you seen those, RP? It's a kit you can buy at a craft store and put beads or gems or whatever in them... we did hand prints. Cute. I'd like to get grandpere something again, meaningful and not something he can buy... He'd like the teeshirt idea, I think. Did you say what goes on it, or just a picture?

Our baby is due any day now, I think a baby is enough of a present, but what do yall think, should I get him something else as well? Of course you should. The first Father's Day is very memorable. Maybe a really nice framed picture of proud dad and baby. You could blow it up. That would be very special I think.

Touche
What if I dont have the baby by the time fathers day comes around? What should I get him? Oh sorry. I must have misunderstood. If he's not a dad yet by the time the baby is born, then I wouldn't get him anything.
LucreziaBorgia
What to get baby daddy? Probably a nice card, and something for his new apartment. I was thinking about that knife holder called "the ex", in black (sort of a funny in joke for us, but practical at the same time).
