My boyfriend said it to me, after a long, emotional discussion about where we are and what we want from each other. We've been together about a year. I'm just curious to know (from other men especially) what they might mean if they say this to their girlfriends. We're not very young, by the way - in our 40s. Also, rereading this it sounds like he's talking about superficial stuff that I do anyway (cooking, etc.) but I don't think that's what he meant. There was a definite emotional plea there but I'm not sure where that might be coming from...I just don't know. Any thoughts?
