I talked to some friends and they just say to give her some space and that's all she wants. I'm pretty sure that's what she needs right now but I don't want to grow too far apart from her. What should I do? How much space should I give her?

What should I do? How much space should I give her? How much space she needs depends on a lot of things. Why did she want to break up? If you are a jerk, and I'm not saying you are, she may have had good reason. If she's questioning her feelings for you, give her the time she needs. Try to keep in touch, but don't put any pressure on her. Just let her know that you care, that's all.
