I ave never played golf but ate lunch and dinner at one every weekend while I was growing up.. I was always with my Sister,Mom and Grandmother.. all 3 Women

 

At this particular resort, there were some couples, but the majority are definitely groups of men. The restaurants are open to anyone, and yes, you see women. A woman out on the course is more of an exception rather than the rule, but they are there. At my sister's restaurant, which is also frequented by golfers, at 8:00 p.m. and later, the restaurant is pretty much all tables filled with all-male groups of golfers.

I think it is safe to say that there are a lot of men out there on business trips, golf trips, etc. etc. etc. when they are away from their wives with pretty much no possibility of being caught....they will take advantage. My friend was surprised at how often these obviously married men come on to her. It is simply a statement that generally, LOTS and LOTS of men will cheat when given the chance. These men travel from lots of areas of the U.S. and Canada to golf at this course. So...these are men from a wide variety of locations who visit this resort. THis is not a statement about the resort itself, but from the men that visit it, who are all from out of town.

I am not arguing that there are a lot of women who play golf. However, you may be talking about the municipal public golf courses that charge $10 per round of golf....and that is FINE. I was pointing out that in the type of golf resorts that Lizzie and I were referring to....these men are MAINLY going in groups of ALL men. I ate at the restaurant and it was virtually all men. I walked around the club, and it was men, men, men in golf attire, with a woman or two scattered in. That is just a fact, these "high-end" resorts tend to attract groups of men who love serious golf. OCCASIONALLY a man will bring his wife, or women will golf in groups, but it is RARE compared to the GROUPS OF MEN staying there and golfing. I saw this for myself.

This particular setting, many groups of ALL-MEN (yes, I admit, I was drueling, it is a great place to be a woman because you will be noticed, sorry for admitting I'm human), is an interesting setting to observe how men away from their wives for a few days or a week, will behave knowing they WILL NOT GET CAUGHT and are AWAY FROM HOME with male FRIENDS and ACQUAINTANCES who would not tell on them. THe fact is, that many, many of these men will cheat when given the chance.
