This same trip I was "hit on" by a man with a live-in girlfriend. He wanted to go back to where I was staying and have sex. He told me that upfront. He is someone who was dining at the restaurant, a local in town, not a golfer. So...no, I would not say I was so naive.

I think you have to consider the environment and the type of person who frequents the establishment. I think every woman has had the experience of being propositioned, for some daily, by men and believe it or not, mostly without intent.

 

The flip side to this is how your friend reacts to them. If she, like many servers for a tip, flirts back and gives them the impression that she's interested in more, it's could be why some are willing to go beyond simple propositioning because of flattery.

 

As for the one time you were hit on by the guy, you can't blanket married men as categorically willing to cheat through one anecdotal incident.

 

If you think about lizzie's stock in trade, of course she thinks that all married men will cheat because that's the only type of men that she's "exposed" to.

I am not ranting. You are the one getting upset. I saw how she was treated as a waitress as I dine there. She is not lying, trust me. She doesn't need to feel good about herself.

I just stated that I was propositioned on this same trip by a man with a livein girlfriend who had no connection to the golf resort. This guy's girlfriend was at work herself and had no clue that her livein SO was out asking me to go back to my hotel room. (I did not take him up on it.)

I am simply stating....tons of men out there cheat. Many, many men have no problem with it. I'm not blanketing. There is cheating going on, and I do tend to believe it's a lot more men than women.

These men who are propositioning my friend are capable of cheating. They, as I said, mean it when they ask her to their hotel rooms after she gets off work. There is no way to misinterpret their meaning. Also, when a man offers you a "monetary bonus" for going back to his room with him....well...he is showing his capability of cheating. I'm sure there are women out there who take them up on their upfront offers. Do you think their wives at home would love the fact that their husbands are on their golf trips asking another woman back to his hotel room after she gets off work, and sometimes offering her money if she would do so? I would say this constitutes cheating behavior, wouldn't you?

I've played competitive tennis all my life, including many away camps and tournaments both individually and as part of a men's team. I've never seen a single instance of a married fellow player cheating on his wife on one of these trips.

I disagree, and men tend to cheat more. I realize there are exceptions, which is why some men are getting bent out of shape about this, but they are ignoring statistics that men cheat more. I personally don't cheat and I will not sleep with a married man, the same as my friend, and she does nothing to encourage this behavior except do her job. I think it's funny that several posters now have suggested that it is HER fault she is getting propositioned. LOL, we must be back in the dark ages, it's WOMEN'S fault now for men's actions. Also I know I was simply sitting at a restaurant bar, eating dinner (a nice restaurant which serves families.) It's not like I was asking him to sit by me, I was simply minding my own business and eating my dinner at my sister's restaurant and was propositioned. He started talking to me, but I talk to a lot of people who are friendly and talk to me (so sue me for being a friendly, normal human being). It surprises me that people are so naive that they don't accept how many married men will actually cheat (or try to cheat) when given the chance.

Well...it only takes 2 people to play tennis. Also, a lot of your teammates aren't going to be obvious about it. It's not just golf and has nothing to do with the actual golf. Do you think they will come to your hotel room and give you a high-five when they have a woman at their hotel room at 3:00 in the morning? Also you are not sitting with every one of them when they are around women on these trips and how they are acting, you are not there every moment. You don't see their every move and therefore you can't conclude this. Sorry.

No, it's not a meat-market. She gets propositioned daily at her workplace. A meat-market is when people go with the specific purpose of meeting the opposite sex.

Yes, I found it surprising at how cavalier these many, many men are and I feel it represents a good percentage of men out there. A married man is much more likely to cheat than a married woman, that's what I am 100% certain about. Sorry, but I do.

one; I should get some girls together and become a golfing pimp.

Two; Did you ever think that the wife back home could care less that her wealthy husband is cheating? As long as he pays for her trips to the spa, her shopping sprees and he keeps it discreet she might not care at all.

He goes on a glf vacation with the boys, She goes to the spa or some resort on his dime.

 

 

The number one place that married woman start affairs is at work. Statistics show that it about the same percentage of men and woman who start affairs in the office. So men if your wife works outside the home she is cheating. I'm only saying.
