Tony T
If you are male and you have more than just flat boobs, you have a medical problem. Could be gynecomastia. (look that up at http://www.google.com) This is usually caused by some medication or metabolic process. If you are a teenager of average height, you need to see a doctor to find out what's going on in your body. If you are 18 or older, a male and of average height, 115 is just plain near death. If you are a female and you aren't proud of growing breasts, see a counsellor. You have not provided enough data here on your sex, age, body type, etc. for anyone to even begin to start on this one. Maybe you are a candidate for breast reduction....who knows?

Tony T
Your weight for a 13 year old is not abnormal, assuming you are of typical height. My guess is your growing boobs is due to some hormonal imbalance, not weight (gynecomastia), abnormal weight distribution or any other metabolic problem. I am NOT a doctor but my guess is that you have abnormally high levels of certain growth hormones which are incorrect for your body. This may be attributed to a genetic abnormality. See a doctor ASAP and get this checked out. There is no other explanation for a 13 year old male of average height and weight to be having larger than normal boobs.
clairvoyant
In gynecomastia, the tissue will grow beyond the nipple by about a half an inch. The tissue should be firm, and the nipple may be sore when touched. It is a conditionis frequently seen in boys going through puberty. Since you are 13, this could be what is going on. (Over half of boys have gynecomastia during puberty.) Unfortunately, gynecomastia can sometimes me a sign of disease. You might consider making an appointment with your doctor for a physical, and mentioning your concerns at that time. (I'm not trying to worry you or anything because you are probably fine. It just can't hurt to consult your doctor.)
mjwinop
visit: gynecomastia.org . If you see the pics, some of these people waited too long. I would never go as far as wearing a bra. I would cut open my boobs and remove the tissue or fat cells (what ever is in there) with my bare hands before I ever wore a bra. ( That is how I feel, but would never do it of course). By government standards, I am considered overweight, but under their standards, everyone who is even healthy is overweight. Visually, I am not. Yes, I have some flab, but not enough to be considered a fat a** on the streets. I push carts at age 15, so I get my physical activity for atleast 3 hrs/day, 6 days/wk. I fit and look good in a regular medium polo that I wear for work. I just have the common "love handles". Not until a year ago did my man boobs start to develop. I'll give them til mext year this time to do something about it. They look to be shrinking slowly, but not fast enough for me. To all my fellow teens w/ this disease, I know how you feel. I have been poked at and teased. I have not had the courage to talk with my doctor. I hate swiming, and the wind (for obvious reasons). For myself and you, I hope this all disappears soon. I hate it as much as you do, and have my "silent" times where after someone has harassed me, I think on why haven't i talked with the doctor, why I can't just cut them off, and what I can do to "pay back" the harasser with a high interest rate. I usually give an evil laugh like I am going to do something, but never do. I am sure there will be the day when I do flip out on the idiot. Just ignore the a**. They probably have some private disease too, so really, they should shove it. Well, It is 3 am, I am tired, and sick of typing about and having gynecomastia. I wish you all the best of luck with overcoming this disease. Good Luck in the Furure!

moimeme
The doctor is the last person to be embarrassed with - he has to look up people's butts, for heaven's sakes. He has seen many worse things than your situation. Go talk to him (or her). You will get understanding and help there. The doctor's job is to deal with these things, you know! MattO
Hmm.. Now that someone has brought up the subject, I think you just have to grow out of them. I have tryed diets, and working out and nothing has helped, but hopefully they will go away
wideawake
Originally posted by AD IT'S PERFECTLY NORMAL DURING PUBERTY I disagree. For the most part gyno indicates an imbalance between testosterone and estrogen in boys of this age. I think you should see a doc and have them checked, and have a full blood profile done.
