It happened last week and she was only 35. We were really close and I have no idea why she did it. She was always incredibly optimistic and positive and real party girl with so many friends. I just miss her so much, I wish I could have done something to prevent this. I have been crying on and off for days and haven't been able to eat at all. This is almost worse than if she died due to natural causes, the decision to take her own life must have been very painful and lonely. I'm just looking for advice on how to deal with the grief.

I'm soooo sorry to heat that. Only time will heal... and it takes time.

I lost my brother, he was 31. He didn't commit suicide but he died in a motorcycle accident... the next day... he never came out of his coma.

This was the worst thing in my life. We were so close.

It is harder when they die suddenly cause we don't have time to tell them how much we love them. it is all so sudden...

When it is a suicide though, I think it's even harder cause every one around feels guilty for not being there when she needed help...but don't feel it's your fault. It's nobody's fault.

So sorry, cry as much as you want... don't hold up your tears...

It takes time...

Awe Blue eyed.

That is terrible news. Grief is a process. Talk, post and cry as much as you need to.

My condolences.

Blue Eyed Girl, firstly...i am so sorry for your loss.

Secondly,...there was nothing you could have done to prevent this nothing at all hunni and when someone is serious about taking their life they won't let on because they don't want to be stopped...so you would have had no idea in the slightest what was about to happen. Bottom line...don't blame yourself...ever, you arent psychic.

Grieving takes time, just take each day one at a time and it might take a long while but eventually it will slowly start hurting a bit less. Don't feel guilty about coming out of the grieving process and enjoying life again...you're still here.
