nyc_transplant
Hi all, This is ironic. I have never been overweight, but slowly, I had been packing up pounds. I tried to be careful and limit what I ate. Eight months ago, I started a regimen of bike rides and swimming. I lost 20 lbs and gained muscle everywhere. However, I would not like to lose any more weight. I don't have any fat left anywhere. Now I would just like to keep on gaining muscle (slowly). I am not eager to stop exercising because it makes me feel great. What should I do to maintain my current weight? I try to eat more but I do not want to stuff myself with junk. What should I eat that will provide the calories without clogging my arteries.
KittenMoon
What should I eat that will provide the calories without clogging my arteries. Unprocessed foods!!!!!! Lean meats, nuts (almonds are especially good), fruits and veggies (avocados are have a high caloric content w/o bad fats), lean dairy products (like cottage cheese). Tofu and beans (high in protein, low in fat). Just a few ideas.
spookie
What Kittenmoon said. Eat more, but not worse. Try to get a lot of protein.
Author nyc_transplant
Hi all, I've been eating lots of pasta, fruits, and taking protein supplements. Two avocados everyday. I think I need to do more of the same thing... J.L.
