Speak softly and keep a large canine!

Thanks LB, what color are your danes? Do yours grumble-growl talk too? Mine does. And it's really funny too. He is the protector of my pom, it's hilarious to see the two of them together. Mutt and Jeff! Thanks for your comment! I wish you the best also.

They are all fawns. I've had their ears done too. I like that look better than the natural ear.

Yes, mine talk to ya, it's sooo cute and and when you are sitting on the couch they will try to back up and sit in your lap. LOL, they don't realize they are bigger than me!

We had a westie once and the Danes thought they were his protector too. he would sit with his paws wrapped around the westie.

Danes are soooooo wonderful when it comes to kids and their family. They are gentle giants of love and they do look after small kids, they try not to let them fall or anything. It's amazing. Most people do not know how wonderful they truly are.

What color is Thor?

He's also a fawn. And has cropped ears, which in my opinion looks better too. Too bad my ex h wasn't as faithful and as loving as my dane!:p

I never got to meet my niece's Dane, but it just amazed me to hear how her little boy just took to that great big old dog! I'd have figured the size alone would have made his fear worse, but it was like it had the opposite effect, because she was so good with him and his sister.

Thanks TBF, I love my dane.

I've not read much of your story but maybe I will someday when I get the time. In my case, there is no redemption for him after what he did. But there is closure for me, I'll never again trust him and I'm trying to put him out of my life and back where he belongs.

I've never posted my entire story in one thread before so you won't find it to read it. I was just drawing the parallels of stages. When they come back, they are looking to you to somehow give them back their self-respect. Whether this means to take them back because it makes them feel more worthy or whether it means to forgive, respect and acknowledge them as people again.

I'm the last person who would suggest that you owe him anything. Right now your focus should be on yourself, to get some balance in your life. Empower yourself.
