Fingers and toes are crossed.

Funny, it's always drummer drama. How did the rest of the band seem? Do they all get along? How long have they been together?

Did they say when they would arrive by a decision and would they let you know when they decided? I would wait to send any futher emails until I guess Friday.

How about that other band you auditioned for. How long have they been together? Do they gel?

I think you will be gigging soon. That is awesome.

Go girl.

Wow unders, so many questions....lol

This band has been around for a while from what I can tell. The drummer is the "newest" member, and he's been there 4 years. They all got along well. One guy was reaaaaally quiet. They actually said he's prob gonna retire at years end, so the band will be moving one guy into his slot and then auditioning for a guy to fill the guys keyboard spot. He just kinda played didn't say much so him leaving wouldn't be a huge loss anyway I wouldn't think hehe. This band seems to have longevity. When I went to see them saturday night people were up and dancing and having fun. They were exactly what I was looking for band wise, so hopefully I'll be what they are looking for, singer wise.

Since they have more auditions next week, I wouldn't expect to hear back til mid-end next week. I mean, I wish they'd tell me tonight that they dont wanna hold the rest of the auditions because I was "that good" but well, I guess you always gotta see what's out there to make sure you're picking the right one.

One thing I was happy about was that i felt totally comfortable around them right off the bat. I started the 1st song out walking around the stage and playing with each one of them when I sang. Hopefully they viewed that as my being fun, and not as my being someone who "wanted" them lol.

The other band, they aren't what I want. I should just email them and tell them that because there's no way I want to join a situation like that, when I know situations like this will come up and I can hopefully get a spot in one of them. I don't want to settle on this. Being in a band is a commitment like being in a relationship, so you've gotta have the right people and whatnot.

So, we'll see. Hopefully I answered all your questions. Oh as for the other band, they got along well with eachother, but musically i feel they are behind this bands experience, and I felt they had a lot to learn before really being what I'd want...

Oh, and as for the emailing thing...the ball is in their court. I emailed them to thank them for the audition, and gave them my contact info and told them my availability. If I dont hear back from them by the end of next week, I can assume they dont want me. I know they want to move on this pretty quickly.

Like when WE sing, right? :lmao:

I'm so proud of you... you've even got me thinking about dusting my bass off making another go of it, too.... :)

My dear friend, my singing partner, and now my inspiration. :)

Oh, how I love thee. :)

I do. I got a bassist fired from a friends band. I counted the number of mistakes he'd make per gig and eventually, they canned his a$$.

The bass player tonight made a few boo boos hehe.
