Number one: NO, it's never too late to change people's perceptions of how they see you. I'll be 46 years old in less than a week and I'm STILL working on that! Really. We grow and change throughout our lives. At least most of us do, anyway. And no, it doesn't matter what your reputation was before. It matters what you do from here on out. Do you see that? THAT'S what really matters, CC. As far as the guys, well they have no choice but to see you in a new light. They have no choice because you have redefined yourself. YOU, decide how it's all going to go down. Not them. You're in control. You have all the power. And they can either get with your program or get lost. It's that simple. Kamille Posted August 23, 2007 Share Posted August 23, 2007 yes I'm keeping the lock down on my decision to not contact him, because each day that I'm not contacting him, is actually making me stronger, and more independent feeling, I don't know exactly why that is, but it's the truth. I like to have control in situations, alot of situations in my life are like that, and when I lose control, I steadily get worse until I'm vulnerable for disrespect or heartache. I am getting it, I was running on the treadmill earlier thinking that I love being happy that I have support here and good people like you all do actually care about my well being, even though you don't know me in person. So far it's a turning point, and I was thinking also, that yah all these guys that I know or have been with, think I'm "hot" at first and sleep with me, but then I think now that my "hotness" level just went from 10 to about 3 because they might see me as easy, and I DON'T want that, I'm degrading myself and I know it, and I should treat myself better because I'm better than that and I'm selling myself short in alot of ways, and that's not attractive. So I'm beginning to understand that now. I'd rather be seen as a "good catch" than a "good lay" because obviously that's why some of them keep trying to come back in that manner. And I can't keep perceiving myself like that, I'm 4 years away from being 30 and I need to cut the bad habits out before I even think about raising kids in the near future, I have to take care of myself first. I am proud of you too CC! Learn to be selective and to walk away from men who don't treat you the way you want to be treated. I am a trainee-goddess myself. You'll see, the only thing that will happen is that the duds will weed themselves out. Goodness, I was just saying you would make a great 'God'dess mother to that little clown bundle... I do like this new Goddess look for you however. It suits you more. You are wiser and stronger having experienced the hunt and battle. Besides the hair color is right and you have a cool hat. I guess for now I shall be Goddess Underpants.
