Do any LS women jog? I just started 2 weeks ago and I need a good jogging bra.

I am a 36D. And I bounce a lot. My breast have been hurting since I started jogging. So either I need a good bra or I am pregnant.

Any good suggestions.

Yes! A good sports bra is a must. I am fairly active as well and I have big boobies (34d-dd) I don't think the brand is important but definitely get a sports bra that is well fitting and gives you good support. I like them to be very snug but not to the point of the straps hurting your shoulders. I would recommend going to an athletic shop like the sports authority.

I don't jog, but I can recommend a good bra for larger busts: Cacique, which is carried by Lane Bryant. They've got some great styles that support, but not necessarily using underwires. I'm sure they've also got athletic styles ... ooh, just checked their website, they've got 'em buy one, second one is half off.

Do stores other than Lane Bryant carry them? I'm much too thin to shop there, though I need a D cup I need a 34 measurement and they don't carry that.

I lost all this weigth and was hoping to loose some in my breast but noooo.

They're still huge! At least that's how they feel. I work at a sporting goods store so I'll try some on tonight. The are $$ though1

Allina how far do you run a day?

Champion has a great website and lots of sports bras depending on if you are doing high impact (jogging) type activities or other lower impact ones. I like Title Nine too.

Yes, they are very $$. I like to wait until they are on sale for $20 but they never have any nice colors.

I laughed when I read hotgurls post.. I either need a good sports bra or I'm pregnant.

Yeah, no matter how thin I get my boobs will always be huge :o:mad:

I think you can find a good sports bra for under $30, your boobies are worth it :)

I don't jog everyday but I try to get to the gym or go for a run at least 3 times a week. When I run sometimes it'll be 4 miles, sometimes I'll run around the block and I'm done

How about you HG?

If we could get some video of you jogging without a bra on then we'll be able to properly assess the dynamics of your running style as it relates to the bounciness of your breasts. Then we may make a thorough analysis and valid recommendation.

allina – JCPenney's website has a Jockey racerback bra (sizes are SMLXL) on sale for 9.99, but their other items are easily double that amount or more. Their plus-size bras seem to start at 36, not 34, though they do have a Glamorise sports bra in the 34's for $27-$29. But if I remember correctly, their clothes usually are cut to fit very snugly.

unfortunately, the Cacique seems to be for the "fuller figured" woman, can't find anything smaller than 36!

do you have any outlet malls nearby? Sometimes they've got intimates stores that have decent prices on their merchandise, my sisters and I will sometimes meet at the one outside Dallas and they'll get their bra-buying done there! Bali, Danskin, just some really nice stuff.

about 4 miles. I run 4-5 days a week. and if I don't run I either walk at my lunch or hike on the weekends.

Since I just started I run than walk fast than run etc.. Because right now I don't have the endurance to run 4 miles. My goal is to do a 5k next spring.

I love Danskin stuff. I need new exercise pants because my old one started to fall off!

Champion Shape Scoop Back Full Figure Underwire Sports Bra, Style CH6843F - it's on their webpage. It's called "full figure" but I think it's because it's the only one that actually has a SIZE - like 34DD (me). Kinda pricey for a sports bra, but it really holds my boobs in place without any bounce, and doesn't give me uniboob. HTH!

I don't jog but I have many sport bras because I wear them to sleep. I like the ones that have no underwires... My fav. are from Sears... (Canada) but I suppose any large department stores would carry them.

If my girls are not well packaged even at night...they hurt. I have been sleeping with a sports bra for years... that's probably why my girls are still perky for their size... I'm sure that helps.

I've never found a sports bra to provide enough support while jogging so the only thing that works for me is to wear two bras - one over the other. That seems to do the trick for me.

I am a 32G so NO WAY could I exercise without a good sports bra. I buy one called Shock Absorber which I have a feeling is designed by Burlei (sp?) and it even has the ability to support mine! I would recommend that you go for a proper fitting at a reputable underwear shop (not a department store). Here in the UK we have one called Bravissimo which is fab, in fact I was wearing totally the wrong size before I went there!

the better-constructed bras will cost an arm and a leg, but are definitely worth the price if they do what you want them to do. If you can afford it, get a second one as a back up, then rotate use to keep them longer.

A UK size 32G equals a US size 32F according to this bra size converter

Yep, Allina, pretty big I guess. I am not proud of them in the slightest and would happily share them around if I could, in fact, believe it or not I actually had a breast reduction 10 years ago. I seem to have ever-growing breasts, much to my BF's delight at least. I am threatening to get them 'done' again as they are the bane of my life, but I am worried that they will just get bigger..........I was smaller than this before the op!

That's interesting you say your breasts have grown after the reductio op. I know a woman who the same thing happened to. Do they remove the breast tissue or just the fat in that type of operation?

They remove breast tissue too. In fact, in most cases, before a reduction is performed they ask that you lose weight (a) because it's safer and (b) because I guess they think you could just be large breasted due to being overweight. It IS weird. I'm glad it's not just me!

  • 4 weeks later...

A recent study came out that the breast tissue is the most vulnerable to sagging through high impact jostling (jogging) due to the fragile cross structure of the collagen.

Once stretched and seperated -the collagen never repairs itself fully-hence-sagging breasts more likely on jogging women than if they did not jog, more so than any other body part.

Whatever bra you choose-definitely invest top dollar into the best sports bra possible and double it as another poster stated does for highest prevention.
