Two Questions...

Recommended Posts

Oh, and I see you have no ego in this discussion at all!!!

I love men! I love to talk to them, f*ck them, spend their money, stroke their egos, cry with them, laugh with them all kinds of things. I just don't need a piece of paper telling me that I have to go to jail with them!

Almost everybody has an ego but it is only men who are somehow wrong for wanting to feel better about ourselves and wanting a partner that will support instead of bring us down. Women are the ones that constantly need to be fed compliments and constantly feel the need to feel sexy. It is why women are so attracted to married men and bad boys. It is because they want the challenge of taming these men but when they tame these men they have no interest at all in them anymore. I don't even think you realize it but your contempt for men shines through in many of your posts. You sound like a republican denying he is racist after going on a rant about how thinks most blacks are criminals. By spending a man's money is not a way to show love to them.

Wog, Why are you arguing pro marriage anyway? Didnt your wife just run around on you!

You should be straight up lobbying for some Mexico style laws. Kick your wife out.... no alimony, no joint custody, no shared property.

My first wife ran around on me. I am married right now to a rare gem of a woman that barely exists anymore.

I am for that type of divorce. In fact if a person cheats or decides to leave to go find themselves or one of those reasons then all post marriage obligations should be null and void and the betrayed spouse should get the house.

Well I guess this sums up everything in a nutshell.

You are a woman hater!

I am not even going to comment on the rest of what you have said here because now you are just looking for an argument

LOL...

Isnt there a problem inherent in that idea? Who benefits from a no comittment situation?

Cobra hunny.....I can be completely committed to someone without being married.

At least I admit it. All of us have been scarred by the battle of the sexes but women will flat out deny hating while spewing the worst bile against the male gender. I am not looking for an argument but you brought up the male ego and I thought I would shed some light on the female ego. There are two sides to this story.

Sure. Tell yourself whatever you want. In fact the male ego is much easier to feed than the female ego. Men are easy so I don't know why so many women have problems with relationships.

I know you can! The question is.... will he? Men by far and wide benefit from a no commitment situation more than women.

In business we have contracts for a reason. We create these so that both parties understand thier obligations and requirements, and understand the consequences of failing to uphold them.

Marriage is a similar contract. The big issue is that

1. the terms and conditions are rarely defined... and even more rarely mutually agreed upon!

2. There are no consequences for failing to uphold the "terms and conditions" which we failed to define in the first place.

So, that is bascially the issue with marriage.

Exactly! Let me direct you to I believe page two of this Thread where Mino posted marriage agreements! I do believe she is onto something there! We all had a good time with that! Lot's of brain storming, but I gotta say it made a whole lot of sense!

A person can miss what they never had. A fatherless boy has nobody to teach him how to be a man, how a man is supposed to conduct himself or any role model to look up to. If you had a generation of women being raised with no mother figure the same effect would occur so why do feminists keep insisting that a father is a disposable extra at best and a dangerous abuser at worst. A person has to be blind to think it has no effect on a child. I agree that an unloving household can badly affect a child so households need to become more loving.

Do you know Tim McGraw's story? Son of Tug McGraw? I'm guessing you may because you live in Jersey, albeit New York has more of an influence where you are as opposed to Philly.

Tim was raised by his mother and sisters. When he found out who his father was (I believe around age 14) and confronted him, Tug initially didn't want anything to do with him. But Tim was eventually able to work things out with Tug.

To this day, Tim credits the man he is to his mother and sisters. And I think they did a hell of a job!!!!!!!!

I think we should take the government and the courts entirely out of marriage and just make it an emotional commitment. Marriage needs to be purified and purged of all the corruption and crap people have infected it with. I would have done that but my wife wanted the piece of paper and since she was willing to sign a prenup I agreed to it.

Sure there are individual examples like this but boys being raised on a mass scale with no fathers is not a good thing. I can't see how any rationale person can argue with this.

Yeah, I just read that! LOL.... I think there was more than a little snarky sarcasm in there!

Ultimately the system is what it is. We work with it and around it as needed.

I have a strong heart and no fear... so I'll take that plunge when the time comes. But I'm not going to walk in blind. I'm not going to take anyone or anything for granted. Im not going to bury my head in the sand and hope for the best.

This is why any man taking the plunge needs a prenup.

I don't know where anyone here has stated that they believe boys should be raised on a mass scale without fathers. There are all kinds of situations and different people, and they all bring to a parental/child relationship what they know. Some turn out good. Some turn out bad. Just like in marriage as stated previously in this thread, it all depends upon the "people".

And I will also add Woggle, that I have read many many of your posts on these boards for quite awhile now, and I came away with the impression long ago that you, my dear, are a womanhater. It breathes through every fiber of your sentences.

I know for a fact that RC is not a manhater. She just happens to be a strong independent woman who, yes, has a brain. And yes, knows what to do with it. She talks the talk, and she walks the walk. She stands by her convictions and she does not judge all people by one gender, religion, race, or circumstance. She allows that there are gray matters and that the world is not all black and white.

Can you say the same? Like I said. I've read your posts. I think you and I have even discussed the black and white issue.

Not advocating at all. Just trying to prove that it can be done. That's all!

Snap, leave the party for a couple hours and it goes all wrong, what gives?

Woggle, If this is your opinion, then I don't see why you are arguing, we all agree that a Relationship between a man and a women is beneficial to both sexes, we don't beleve that the courts should say how long that relationship can last; which is what they do with the term marriage. The girls on this thread believe that the decision to continue the commitment lies solely with the two individuals that are involved, and I would even go as far as saying that most of us do not beleive there should be "consquences" when one decides to end it. we are all people of free will, and we are all entitled to fall out of love,

I admit that I have misogynstic tendencies. I don't deny it but I do at least try to judge every woman as an individual. It just show happens that most of the time women prove me right although every once in a while I find a rare gem.

I have noticed that most OW on here are manhaters to some degree. All that time spent playing around with scum that are cheating on their wives has warped their view of male/female relations. Dating a married man does something to a woman emotionally that is very hard to go back from. About the black and white issue I am not racist at all.

Very situational. Every little boy is different. Sometimes you get Tim Mcgraw... sometimes you get Ted Bundy. Your right in that it can be done... its just not every time. Then again I suppose its that way for everything in life.

LOL... if it cant be fixed maybe its time to be movinon. :D

Because I am coming at it from a different point of view. I very much believe in marriage but I feel that courts, divorce lawyers and everything else have ruined so it is time to purify it. I believe in the lifetime commitment and that people should not just walk away when things are less than 100% perfect 100% of the time. I just don't see how the courts have helped marriage at all. It should not be a business arrangement.
