BlueSoul
I just wanted to know if it is possible for people between ages 15-20 to grow taller (naturally)? What do you have to do specifically in order to grow taller up to our potential height?
JamesM
Yes, my personal height was not reached until I was around 19 or 20. I graduated from high school at around 5' 6". When I reached full height I was/am almost six foot (5'11" 1/2). But, I would say to learn acceptance of self no matter what your height or size.
Pyro
I am 26 and I grew a whole inch within the past year.
Author BlueSoul
Oh, then I'm suprised by how much you can grow in just a few years before age 20s. What did you do? Excersice or something? Drink a lot of milk? etc? I sleep like 10 hours a day every day from 11-12pm. Is that good for height growth?
ziggyman
I don't think u can effect your height whatever u do!
JamesM
Oh, then I'm suprised by how much you can grow in just a few years before age 20s. What did you do? Excersice or something? Drink a lot of milk? etc? I sleep like 10 hours a day every day from 11-12pm. Is that good for height growth? No, as a girlfriend from high school said, "James, you went through puberty!" And she was right. I was th guy who shaved for the first time in my last year of high school, and those were only a few hairs. So, my reason for growing was I was a late bloomer. It was not exercise and certainly not sleep. If it was food, then it was the chocolate chip cookies and brownies. I have to agree...you cannot really change your ultimate height, but I can also say that you may not have finished growing yet.
Yamaha
Most people have reached their full height by the age of 21. There is nothing you can do to make yourself grow taller. It is all programmed in you from birth although I have heard of growth hormones given to abnormally short people but that is administered by a physician.
Author BlueSoul
Well I hate my current height (5'5''). I'm tired of putting a few tissue packs in each of my shoes secretly for having a taller appearance, with them I'd be 5'7'' (which is the least height I wanted to be), and I'm only 17 (18 this december). This_Too_Shall_Pass
You still have a couple of years to grow taller. But there's no that guarantee you will. Like others have suggested, it depends on your genetic makeup to a large extent. How tall are other people in your family? You'll see a height pattern there. There's not much else you can do other than accept it.

You've taken after your parents, which is the most natural thing in the world. It would've been cool if you'd taken after your grandad on your father's side, but unfortunately your dad's gene prevailed in the height department. Don't stress over something you can't change. And your height is not that bad, really.

This_Too_Shall_Pass
I hate being small, you know. I would personally want to be aleast 5'7''. Hmmm. But your genetic lineage suggests that you're doing pretty good to be at the height you're currently at. Lots of interesting men with a good personality have been short. I can only think of Napoleon, for now.

Don't sweat over something that you have no control over. I am on the shorter side myself and I don't let it bother me. Unfortunately some women will use your height to determine whether or not they will want to get to know you, but there are plenty of women out there who do not.

Green
You could take growth hormone, it would have alot of negative side effects but you will difinetly grow if you take it. I grew atleast 4 inches between 17 and 21 I might even still be growing I dont know. Im a tall man but if I ever break my body and lose my height life will go on for me and my loss of height. Im not going to tell you being tall isnt great because it is, but being short can be good to learn to enjoy living the life you have and not worying about a thing like height that you cant truely controll

It's not worth all the trouble. Live a healthy lifestyle and it will show in the way you look. Consider yourself lucky that you're not a girl. Girls have a much tougher time of it, since they have to conform, in some way or the other, to society's definition of "good looking". Concentrate on developing your personality. Personality always trumps looks.

I mean guys are alot more visual then girls but they actualy seem to settle for short girls and other things. But the rest is good advice dont ruin ur life thinking about how short you are, I mean unless its your goal to slam dunk you still can pretty much do anything you want in life. what you need to ask yourself is why do I want to be tall what is it that being tall would get me? if the answer is something like fame and fortune then your in luck you can still have that just as Tom Cruise does and look at that new heart throb Zac efron hes short you might end up his hight, So answer the question what is it that you want to acomplish in your life or more specificaly what is it that being tall will give you ? Height is perhaps the only department, looks-wise, that's more forgiving to girls. Other than that, it's just tedious being a woman.

Well, I lose confidence when I'm short.
This_Too_Shall_Pass
Well, I lose confidence when I'm short. No need to. For one thing, your height isn't that bad. Secondly, I have known quite a few short guys who are very smart and articulate. Their personality is much better than a lot of taller guys around. One of them (a former manager of mine) is about your height - but his personality more than made up for his height. He was (and still must be) a favorite with all the women. Don't let your height define you. It's in your hands to not let that happen.
Green
so the thing you really want is confidence not height, if we made you taller then 6 foot and you still had no confidence youd still be unsatisfied. You can gain your confidence even if you never grow another inch which you stil probably will. Look if you want to be confident your going to have to chalenge yourself, and put some hard work in, and then you'll have your confidence
