luvmy2ns
What Karma? The guy is dead! The once alive now dead guy was LOADED! Wife inherited the estate. $200,000 of gifts bought for the OW is petty cash! What's to crush! I don't believe the corpse is sneaking around with the OW. The Karma is falling on the OW. No stolen man, and now she's losing money because of the cheating she was involved in with him. The BW is the one feeling the joy.

luvmy2ns
It has everything to do with seeing guilty parties get what's coming to them, regardless how the sh*t rains down. I do believe that's what they call Karma. Whether someone helps Karma along isn't the issue.
Lizzie60
Here is what a 10 second search gave me. I'm sure there is more, but I'm not inclined to do anymore searching. BTW, it would be very easy to prove large gifts. I agree, smaller ones may be hard, but when large amounts of money are spent, it isn't very hard to trace. PI's and forensic accountants make lots of money themselves doing just that. WIFE WINS LAWSUIT AGAINST HUSBAND'S MISTRESS. Friday Church News Notes, November 15, 2002 - Earlier this month, Margaret McCarthy of Washington state won a hefty lawsuit against her late husband's mistress, requiring her to pay back the value of everything the man had given her during their adulterous relationship. When Jack McCarthy, a wealthy real estate broker, died last year, his girlfriend, Kathie O'Keefe, sued the estate, demanding a watch and ring and $200,000 he allegedly had promised her ("Mistress Ordered to Reimburse Dead Lover's Wife for 20 Years of Gifts," ABC News, Nov. 9, 2002). Margaret McCarthy counter-sued and won, based on a 90-year-old state law that does not allow one married spouse to gift community property to an individual without the consent of the other spouse. Yes but his is not a typical OW/W situation... the OW first sued the estate... No wonder they had no problem 'proving' she was the mistress and she was receiving expensive gifts... Gimme a break... underpants
Some people simply do not grasp the concept of karma. This would mean that they have accountability for their part in the situations they find themselves in. Some people simply enjoy denial much better. I have neither been married nor found myself the OW. However, I have observed and been witness to both sides of this scenerio. I have also been an unknown third party that has helped...'karma/consequence' along. Not always, but there have been times when even passive me finds it too irresistable to mind my own business. This weekend I may have this opportunity. I might pass though. However, the more I learn, the more I see the need for her to burn. I am pretty sure though that this will happen to her and the other guy, eventually anyway. Too bad.

RealityCheck
Some people simply do not grasp the concept of karma. And in the case of the law suit, some people prefer to look to logic of plain stupidity as opposed to karma. I'm done here!
luvmy2ns
Funny how some people are suddenly "done" when others come along to aid you in squashing their idea of "reality."

Good one!! Way to go wifey. Never put up with the greed of the OW. As for an OW that ends up living with her MM, most people don't go into a marriage or common-law situation with their mortgages paid off. Any payments made afterwards would be joint monies, therefore, a debtor could claim on it...

Impudent Oyster
I Why oh, why would any woman waste her time paying lawyers to get revenge on a dead cheating H or an OW who isn't even a morsel part of her life anymore. . She's not getting revenge, she's getting back HER property. You can bet your a$$ I would do the very same thing if my H had bought expensive gifts for an OW with OUR money. Oh she's got more than money, she also got rid of a cheating husband who didn't love her anymore, and socked it to him in the process. I'm SURE she's happy!
